Honestly, Navy Chalets 107 caught me off guard in the best way possible. I mean, when you’re walking down Sheraton Road in Hurghada, you pass all these flashy resort complexes, and then there’s this place – sort of tucked away but not hidden, if that makes sense. It’s got this relaxed, almost residential vibe that actually works really well if you’re tired of feeling like you’re staying in a tourist bubble.

The thing about this spot is that it feels authentic without trying too hard. You know what I mean? The staff genuinely seem to care about whether you’re having a good time, and they’ll chat with you about the best local dive spots (the reef nearby is honestly incredible – way less crowded than the main tourist areas). The rooms are clean and comfortable, nothing fancy but everything works properly, which is more than I can say for some of the pricier places I’ve stayed along the Red Sea. The air conditioning actually keeps up with the Hurghada heat, and there’s this nice little balcony where you can sit with your morning coffee and watch the neighborhood wake up. I loved hearing the call to prayer drift over from the nearby mosque – it adds this beautiful authenticity to the whole experience.

What really sold me on Navy Chalets 107 was how easy it made everything without being pushy about it. Need to get to the marina for a diving trip? They’ll sort out transport without the usual hassle. Want recommendations for dinner that aren’t the typical tourist traps? They’ll point you toward this amazing little seafood place about ten minutes away where locals actually eat. The pool area is small but perfectly fine for cooling off in the afternoon heat, and honestly, you’re probably going to spend most of your time exploring anyway. The location is actually perfect for that – close enough to walk to decent restaurants and shops, but far enough from the main strip that you’re not dealing with constant noise and crowds. I slept better here than I did at the five-star place I stayed at the beginning of my trip, probably because you can actually hear the sea at night instead of pool parties and lobby music. Sure, it’s not luxury, but sometimes you just want a comfortable base that doesn’t make you feel like you’re performing being on vacation, you know?

  Das Chalet hat eine traumhafte Lage und ich habe wundervollen Sonnenaufgänge über dem Meer genossen. Es war schön ruhig und eine wunderschöne Pool-Gartenanlage. Ebenso sehr nette, zuvorkommende und unaufdringliche Mitarbeiter, ebenfalls seht nett der Besitzer (hat sich nach meinem Wohlbefinden per whats-app erkundigt, da er selbst nicht vor Ort war und auch Lena die Hausdame ist ein Goldschatz) Das W-Lan lief einwandfrei im Appartement. Ich würde es jederzeit wieder buchen.
  
  What could be improved: Die allgemeine Ausstattung der Küche-das Equipment könnte mal ausgetauscht/erneuert werden. Aber man kommt klar, toll wäre auch ein Toaster. Die Waschmaschine muss dringend befestigt werden (tanzte bei Benutzung ;-))Ansonsten habe ich nichts zu bemängeln und habe mich wirklich wohl und sicher gefühlt.

  Mir gefällt die Lage. Fußläufig ins Zentrum und alles in der Nähe. Auch der Meerblick ist toll.
