You know what struck me first about this place? The fact that it’s literally right at El Gouna’s entrance, which honestly turned out to be way better than I expected. I mean, you’d think being at the entrance might mean traffic or noise, but it’s actually perfect – you get all the convenience of being connected to everything without the chaos of being in the thick of it all.

The apartment itself is genuinely new, and I don’t mean that fake “recently renovated” new that hotels love to claim. Everything feels fresh and properly thought out, from the way the cyan accents (hence the name, I guess) pop against the white walls to how the two bedrooms are laid out so you’re not stepping on each other. The whole space has this breezy, lived-in feel that’s hard to find in vacation rentals – you know how some places feel like nobody actually lives there? This isn’t that. The kitchen’s actually usable too, which… well, if you’ve stayed in apartment-style places before, you’ll appreciate that detail.

What really won me over though was the location situation. Being right at the entrance means you’re maybe five minutes from the marina area where all the restaurants and nightlife happen, but you can also easily escape to the quieter lagoons when you need a break. The Red Sea beaches are practically on your doorstep – and honestly, the snorkeling right off the shore here is incredible, though locals will tell you the best spots are still a short boat ride away. Parking’s never an issue, which is huge because El Gouna can get pretty crowded during peak season (avoid January and February if you don’t love crowds). The 9.8 rating doesn’t surprise me at all – it’s one of those places where the owners clearly put thought into the little things. Like, there’s proper water pressure in the shower, the AC actually cools the whole space, and the WiFi works everywhere, not just in one corner of the living room. You’ll hear the call to prayer from the nearby mosque, but it’s more atmospheric than disruptive, and the sea breeze keeps things comfortable even when it’s blazing hot outside. Sure, it’s a 3-star place, so don’t expect a concierge or daily housekeeping, but that’s kind of the point – it feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a hotel.
