Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name “Oasis resort-Nice Condo -B31-Al Ahyaa” I wasn’t sure what to expect. The whole thing sounds a bit jumbled, doesn’t it? But here’s the thing about Hurghada – sometimes the places with the most confusing names end up being the hidden gems, and this little spot actually surprised me.

The location is pretty solid if you know the area. It’s tucked away in Al Ahyaa district, right next to the North Hurghada neighborhood, and you can literally see Smar Land from the windows (which is either great if you’ve got kids who are obsessed with amusement parks, or… well, you know how theme parks can get). What I really liked is that it feels residential rather than touristy – you’re staying where actual people live, not in some isolated resort bubble. The building itself is nothing fancy from the outside, sort of typical Egyptian concrete construction, but unit B31 is actually quite decent inside. The condo setup means you get a proper kitchen, which honestly saved me a fortune since eating out every meal in Hurghada adds up fast.

The three-star rating might make you think it’s basic, but I mean, the standards here are different from what you’d expect in Europe or North America. What matters is that everything worked – the AC kept the place cool even during those brutal afternoon hours when the temperature hits 40°C, the water pressure was actually pretty good (not always a given in this part of town), and the WiFi didn’t make me want to throw my laptop out the window. The furnishing is simple but clean, and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. Parking was never an issue, which is honestly a blessing because finding a spot near the corniche can be a nightmare during peak season. The neighborhood gets pretty quiet at night, so if you’re looking for peace after long days exploring the Red Sea, this works. Sure, it’s not walking distance to the main hotel strip, but that also means you’re paying local prices at the nearby shops and cafes instead of tourist rates. A quick taxi ride gets you anywhere you need to be, and the drivers in this area actually know where they’re going – no endless circling around trying to find your street.
