Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first pulled up to this Ollystays property in Tawila – you know how apartment rentals can be hit or miss. But walking into this 2-bedroom place, I actually felt that little spark of “okay, this is going to work out perfectly.” The space has this breezy, lived-in comfort that immediately puts you at ease, and the way the light filters through in the morning… well, it’s the kind of thing that makes you want to linger over coffee instead of rushing out to the beach.

What really gets me about this spot is how it sits in El Gouna’s layout – you’re tucked into Tawila in a way that feels residential and authentic, not like you’re staying in some tourist bubble. I mean, El Gouna can sometimes feel a bit manufactured (let’s be honest), but this neighborhood has actual character. The shared pool situation works surprisingly well too – there’s enough space that you’re not fighting for lounge chairs, and the other guests I encountered were mostly the chill, long-stay types rather than party crowds. The building itself feels solid and well-maintained, which isn’t always a given with apartment rentals around here. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – none of that runaround you sometimes get with smaller properties.

Here’s what I really appreciate though: the practical stuff just works. The AC keeps up with the heat (crucial during summer months), there’s actually decent water pressure in both bathrooms, and the kitchen is equipped well enough that you can make real meals if you want to take a break from restaurant hopping. The bedrooms are properly sized – not those cramped afterthoughts you sometimes find in converted apartments. And parking? Not an issue, which anyone who’s driven around El Gouna during peak season will tell you is worth its weight in gold. The location puts you close enough to Abu Tig Marina that you can walk there for dinner, but far enough that you’re not dealing with the weekend crowds and music until all hours. It’s that sweet spot where you feel connected to what’s happening in El Gouna without being overwhelmed by it. If you’re planning to explore beyond El Gouna – maybe day trips to Hurghada proper or desert excursions – you’re positioned perfectly for that too, right off the main routes but not stuck in traffic.

  I liked the area tawila itself .
  During my visit, it was calm ..
  The apartment is so spacious.. could take 4 to 6 people .. 2 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms
  Few things to put in mind before traveling
  Get moskito repellent
  If u drink Turkish coffee, get ur own pot 😄
  The nearest supermarket is gourmet .. it's not a walking distance but with car nearly 5 to 7 mins
  
  What could be improved: 1. The shared pool is not heated, not equipped with stairs to go up and down. u could slip
  No chairs or umbrella
  2. The living had a white sofa, which was full of stains .. other parts of the apartment needed extra cleaning and tiding
