So here’s the thing about this place in Sahl Hasheesh – it’s one of those spots that actually delivers on what it promises, which honestly isn’t always the case with apartment rentals along the Red Sea coast. The One Bedroom Apartment C201 sits right in the Al Saraya complex, and when they say pool view, they mean it. You’re literally looking down at people doing their morning laps while you’re having coffee on the balcony, which I found oddly entertaining.

The location is pretty smart, actually. Sahl Hasheesh is about 20 minutes south of Hurghada proper, so you get that resort town vibe without the chaos of the main tourist strip. The complex itself feels more like where Europeans come to properly relax for a week or two rather than those quick weekend getaways. There’s this nice mix of German and British families, plus some locals who clearly know a good thing when they see it. The apartment itself is what I’d call “efficiently comfortable” – not huge, but everything works and the AC actually keeps up with the heat, which is crucial in summer. The kitchen has enough gear to make proper meals, though honestly, with all the restaurants within walking distance, I mostly just used it for morning coffee and late-night snacks.

What really got me was how quiet it gets at night. During the day you’ve got pool sounds and kids playing, but come evening, it’s just the sound of waves in the distance and maybe some low music from the resort next door. The pool area stays lit until about 10 PM, so you can still see the water from your window – it’s actually quite soothing. Parking was never an issue, which is worth mentioning because some places in this area can get ridiculous during peak season. The whole complex feels secure without being stuffy, you know? There’s a gate but it’s not like they’re checking your ID every time you come back from the beach. Speaking of the beach, it’s about a five-minute walk through the resort grounds, and the water here is genuinely spectacular – clearer than what you’ll find closer to Hurghada center, probably because there’s less boat traffic. The snorkeling right off the shore is actually decent, which surprised me. I mean, it’s not Dahab-level amazing, but you’ll see plenty of colorful fish without having to book a boat trip. The whole area has this laid-back, almost residential feel that works really well if you’re looking to actually unwind rather than party every night.

  What could be improved: Die Lage ist super ruhig, jedoch ohne Auto absolut schlecht, zum Strand läuft man circa 30 Minuten durch die pralle Sonne. Zum Supermarkt in der Stadt läuft man etwas mehr. Wir sind gute Läufer, aber die Entfernungen sind zu weit bei diesen Temperaturen.
  
  Es gibt einen Shuttlebus, jedoch kostet dieser 5 Dollar pro Person.
  
  Wir haben kurzfristig ein Auto für den gesamten Aufenthalt gemietet, wodurch wirklich alles gut war.
