You know what surprised me most about this place? The pool view from C304 actually lives up to its name – and I mean that in the best way possible. I’ve stayed at plenty of “pool view” apartments where you’re basically squinting through palm fronds to catch a glimpse of blue water, but this one bedroom at Al Saraya genuinely delivers. The balcony overlooks the pool area without being right on top of the action, so you get that nice resort vibe without kids cannonballing directly under your morning coffee.

Sahl Hasheesh itself is honestly one of those spots that feels like Egypt’s answer to a proper resort town – it’s about 18 kilometers south of Hurghada proper, which means you’re far enough from the chaos of the main tourist strip but close enough that a taxi ride isn’t going to break the bank. The apartment itself is pretty well thought out for the space. I mean, it’s not huge, but whoever designed it actually considered how people live – there’s decent counter space in the kitchen (rare in these kinds of places), and the bedroom gets a nice cross-breeze if you open the right windows. The AC works well too, which in August heat is basically non-negotiable.

What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night. The complex has this sort of secluded feel even though there’s plenty going on during the day. Mornings are particularly nice – you can hear the resort coming to life gradually rather than being jolted awake by pool maintenance at 6 AM like some places I’ve been. The beach is walkable, maybe 8-10 minutes depending on how much you’re carrying, and there’s a decent little stretch of sand that doesn’t get completely overrun. Peaks (the management company) seems to have their act together too – check-in was straightforward, and when I had a minor issue with the shower pressure, someone actually showed up to fix it rather than just promising they would. The perfect 10 rating honestly makes sense when you consider what you’re getting for the price point. It’s not luxury by any stretch, but it’s exactly what a three-star apartment should be – clean, functional, and in a spot where you can actually relax without feeling like you’re missing out on the Red Sea experience.
