You know what surprised me most about B104 at The View? It’s actually quiet. I mean, you’re right there on old Sheraton Street in Hurghada, which sounds like it should be chaos, but somehow this one-bedroom apartment manages to feel like a little retreat. The building itself is pretty solid for what you’d expect from a 3-star place – nothing fancy, but they’ve clearly put some thought into the details that actually matter when you’re trying to unwind after a day baking in the Egyptian sun.

The apartment has this lived-in feel that I honestly prefer over those sterile hotel rooms where everything’s bolted down. There’s a proper kitchen setup (not just a mini-fridge and a prayer), which is clutch if you want to grab some of those amazing tomatoes and cheese from the local market instead of eating hotel food every meal. The bedroom gets decent light without being a greenhouse situation, and – this might sound weird but hear me out – the shower actually has good water pressure. I’ve stayed in supposedly fancier places along the Red Sea where you’re basically getting misted like a houseplant, so this was a genuine relief. The whole space feels bigger than you’d expect too, probably because they didn’t try to cram in a bunch of unnecessary furniture.

What really gets me is that 9.5 rating – at first I thought it had to be inflated, but after spending time there, it actually makes sense. The View complex sits in this sweet spot where you’re close enough to walk to the marina and the main tourist strip when you want that energy, but far enough back that you’re not dealing with the constant honking and street vendors at all hours. Plus, the people running the place seem to actually care – check-in was smooth, they knew the apartment inside and out, and when I had a question about getting to the airport, they didn’t just shrug and point at a taxi. It’s the kind of place where you can tell locals probably stay here too, not just tourists, which is always a good sign. If you’re looking for something that feels more like borrowing a friend’s place than staying in a hotel, and you don’t need someone making your bed every day, this spot delivers without any of the usual compromises.
