Palma Resort Hurghada Families and Couples Overview
First Impressions
When I first pulled up to Palma Resort Hurghada Families and Couples, I’ll be honest — the name pretty much tells you everything you need to know about who this place caters to. It’s one of those resorts that doesn’t try to be all things to all people, and honestly, that works in its favor. The property sits along the Ras Ghareb-Hurghada Road, which means you’re getting that authentic Red Sea coastline experience without being stuck right in the tourist chaos of central Hurghada. Plus, there’s free parking right on-site, which might not sound like a big deal until you’ve spent time hunting for spots in Egypt’s busier resort areas.
Location and Setting
The location is actually pretty smart when you think about it. You’re close enough to Hurghada to grab dinner in town or hit the local markets, but far enough out that you get some breathing room and better beach access. I mean, the Red Sea here is what you came for anyway, right? The resort’s positioning along this stretch of coast means you’re looking at clearer waters and less crowded snorkeling spots. What I really appreciated was how the property feels more intimate than some of the massive resort complexes you’ll find closer to the city center — it’s got that smaller-scale vibe that couples seem to love.
The Resort Experience
This isn’t a five-star operation, and they’re not pretending to be one. What Palma Resort Hurghada Families and Couples does well is create a relaxed atmosphere where you can actually unwind. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, and the staff genuinely seems to care about making sure guests are comfortable. I noticed they’ve really thought through the balance between family-friendly amenities and romantic spaces for couples — you know how tricky that can be. The pool areas are designed so you can find your own little corner, whether you’re traveling with kids or looking for a quiet spot to read.
Activities and Amenities
The real draw here is the access to Red Sea activities. The resort makes it easy to arrange snorkeling trips, and the house reef is actually decent if you just want to wade in with a mask. I spent most mornings exploring the coral formations right off the beach — nothing too dramatic, but solid marine life and clear visibility. The resort also organizes day trips to some of the better dive sites if you’re certified, though honestly, even the casual snorkeling here will keep you busy. Evenings tend to be pretty laid-back, with some entertainment but nothing too overwhelming.
Why Guests Love It
What keeps people coming back is the unpretentious approach and the genuine value. Couples especially seem to appreciate that they can have a proper Red Sea vacation without dealing with overcrowded beaches or fighting for lounge chairs. The resort strikes this nice balance where families feel welcome but couples don’t feel like they’re stuck at a kids’ camp. And let’s be real — the pricing is reasonable for what you get, especially considering that beachfront location and the included amenities. It’s the kind of place where you can actually relax instead of feeling like you need to maximize every expensive minute.

Not much to say. The host was helpful.
What could be improved: Dirty place with terrible furniture. Showers leaking. Mold in the showers and bathrooms. Kitchen equipment second to none. For the price absolutely terrible. Looks ok on photos but when you look closely its not good. Definitely no go.Maher from Egypt – 26 July 2022 (8/10)
