Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard “bungalows in El Gouna,” I was expecting something pretty basic. But Panorama Bungalows actually surprised me in the best way possible. The whole setup feels like someone took the traditional Red Sea resort concept and made it, well, more human-sized. Instead of those massive concrete towers you see everywhere along the coast, you’re staying in these low-rise bungalows that are scattered around the property in a way that actually makes sense. The views are genuinely panoramic (hence the name, I guess), and you can see across the lagoons that make El Gouna special – it’s not just another strip of beach hotels.

What really got me was how they’ve managed to capture that laid-back El Gouna vibe without feeling too isolated from everything. You know how some resorts make you feel trapped? This isn’t that. You’re close enough to the marina area that you can easily walk over for dinner or drinks – maybe a 10-minute stroll through those winding paths El Gouna is known for. The staff actually seems to know the area too, which sounds obvious but honestly isn’t always the case. They’ll point you toward the better local spots instead of just the tourist traps. The bungalows themselves have this airy feel with decent AC (crucial in Hurghada heat, trust me), and the bathrooms are surprisingly well-designed. I mean, you’re not getting marble everything, but the fixtures work properly and there’s actually good water pressure.

The pool area is where you’ll probably spend most of your downtime – it’s got that perfect sweet spot size where it’s not overcrowded but doesn’t feel empty either. The poolside service is solid without being pushy, and the food is better than you’d expect for a 4-star place. Nothing revolutionary, but they do a really good job with the fresh seafood, which makes sense given where you are. What I appreciated most was the noise level – or lack thereof. Even when the place fills up, it stays pretty chill. The bungalow layout naturally keeps things quiet, and you don’t get that echo-chamber effect you sometimes get with bigger resorts. Check-in was smooth, parking is easy if you rent a car to explore the area, and they actually have decent WiFi throughout the property. The 8.5 rating feels about right – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in El Gouna, but it delivers exactly what it promises with some nice touches you don’t always expect.

  Stayed here many times and better than ever as hotel being refurbished over the last few months. Great staff as always. Fab location. El gouna is amazing. Hotel is lovely. Booked again for dec/Jan, as always. ☆☆☆☆☆

  The hotel greeted us well, they immediately put a bracelet on us and we could have drinks in the lobby. We were given a room in 30 minutes. They upgraded our room from standard to family with access to the pool for free. The room was clean, stylish, everything worked. There was a mini bar with drinks. In the evening, we had a great time sitting by the pool under the moon ❤️ The area is small, beautiful, surrounded by flowers and greenery. Stylish cafes in European style, the hotel looks interesting. The pool was no longer heated on 9.04. The staff is responsive, but it is clear that they pay more attention to the Germans. Even in the restaurant, they brought them food, drinks, moved furniture, while they might not even come up to us during the evening to ask what we would like to drink. We need to work on this, it should not be like this. The food is very tasty, I have visited many hotels in Egypt and I liked this one the most. Thanks to the chefs. The view from the restaurant is gorgeous on the canals, where boats sail during the day. There is no animation in the hotel. At sea they take you by boat to the island, which is a special pleasure to sail along the channel, it takes 5 minutes. You can swim from the shore or watch the fish from the pier, its length is 400 m. There is a stylish cafe on the beach with food and drinks. In general, we liked the hotel, cozy, beautiful, delicious food, a chic location in the very center of El Gouna. We booked another visit for my birthday in June.
