You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Pickalbatros Alf Leila Wa Leila Resort – honestly, the name alone made me think it might be one of those over-the-top theme places that’s all show and no substance. But driving down Safaga Road (which, fair warning, can get pretty dusty during the day), I was actually impressed by how the resort manages to pull off this whole Arabian Nights concept without making you feel like you’re stuck in some cheesy movie set. The entrance hits you with these massive archways and intricate Islamic architectural details that – I mean, they clearly spent some serious money on the design here.

What really got me was how they’ve laid out the property. It sprawls quite a bit, which means you’re not cramped up against other guests, but also means you’ll be doing some walking if you’re staying in one of the farther buildings. The pools are scattered throughout in a way that actually makes sense – there’s always a quieter spot if the main pool area gets too crowded (and it does, especially around 2-3 PM when everyone’s escaping the afternoon heat). I spent most mornings at the smaller pool near the back section where you can actually hear yourself think. The Red Sea access is decent, though you’ll want water shoes – the entry’s a bit rocky, but once you’re in, the snorkeling is honestly some of the better stuff you’ll find along this stretch of Hurghada’s coast.

The rooms are solid for a 4-star – nothing groundbreaking, but the AC works well (crucial in this heat), and the bathrooms are actually bigger than I expected. What surprised me most was the food quality. I’ve stayed at plenty of all-inclusive places where the buffet gets old fast, but their Egyptian night with the traditional dishes was genuinely good – not just tourist-friendly versions of local food. The staff seems to really know their stuff too, especially the dive center guys who can point you toward the better reef spots that aren’t completely picked over by tour groups. Check-in was smooth, parking’s free and plentiful, and the Wi-Fi actually works in most areas of the resort. At a 9.2 rating, it’s clearly doing something right – I’d say it hits that sweet spot where you get good value without feeling like you’re roughing it or paying through the nose for unnecessary luxury.

  For a family vacation, this hotel exceeded our expectations. The kids had an incredible time with endless activities ranging from the aqua park and VR zone to kids' shows and a well-run daycare. There was never a dull moment, and boredom was simply not an option. On top of that, the food was abundant and varied, with dining options available around the clock whenever hunger struck. What really stood out, though, was the exceptional service. The room service was prompt and reliable, we were lucky to have Mohamed Therwat as the one to tend to our room, making it look very welcoming and inviting. Actually, the entire staff were very friendly, professional and attentive, and the cleanliness throughout the entire hotel was absolutely outstanding.We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
  
  What could be improved: I was disappointed that the hotel does not consistently enforce its rules, often bending them to accommodate guests. This approach not only creates unnecessary controversy but also encourages guests to continue disregarding the rules. Moreover, the hotel manager tends to side with guests over staff members who are simply trying to uphold the policies. Lastly, the level of food waste is staggering. While it’s a luxury to have such abundant options, and guests are clearly well catered to, there are definitely more sustainable ways to maintain an all-inclusive experience while managing waste more responsibly.

  The food !! Amazing, Its a big resort and the food was everywhere super. Enough waterparks and excellent service. first day you will feel as if the resort is huge, but once you understand it is a nice little village. You can take the taf taf and it brings you were you need to be. Amazing resort for kids

  I normally come here 3 times a year because it is really an extraordinary place where you will like everything there. I enjoyed all cusins and everything I craved for. I totally enjoyed the tasty food. There are more than one resturant where you you like anything you want to eat and try. I liked the hospitality of staff everywhere I go with there happy and welcoming spirit. I liked the number of swimming pools which I found throughout the hotel. I enjoyed the snacks and quality of food including the different flavours of icecream that you will enjoy. I liked the entertainment shows during the day and after dinner which covers a variety of shows for all ages which makes Pick Albatros the best destination you should choose. I liked the different drinks you find all day and night 24 hours and the quality of it. The bakery which was recently opened is an extraordinary one where I found myself in Paris. You SHOULD come to Pickalbatros without thinking.
