Honestly, when I first pulled up to this place in Mangroovy, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star property – but you know what? Sometimes the best surprises come in unassuming packages. The Pool Front 2BR sits right there in the M9 section, and I mean literally pool front – you step out your door and you’re basically poolside. No trekking across a massive resort complex with your morning coffee, which is actually pretty great when you think about it.

What really sold me on this spot was how it manages to feel both secluded and connected at the same time. El Gouna has this whole planned community vibe going on (some people love it, others find it a bit artificial), but Mangroovy strikes this nice balance where you’re away from the main tourist chaos yet still within easy reach of everything. The beach access is legit – not one of those “beach access” situations where you walk for twenty minutes through someone else’s property. You’re maybe a five-minute stroll to actual sand and water, and the Red Sea here is honestly ridiculous. I’m talking about water so clear you’ll spend way too much time just staring at fish from the shore.

The two-bedroom setup works really well for families or couples traveling together who want their own space. The living area opens up nicely, and there’s this relaxed, lived-in feel that’s way more comfortable than those sterile hotel rooms where you’re afraid to touch anything. Sure, it’s not luxury – the finishes are pretty standard and you might hear your neighbors occasionally – but everything works, it’s clean, and the pool situation more than makes up for any minor shortcomings. I actually found myself hanging out by the pool more than the beach some days, just because it was so convenient and peaceful. The rating of 8 out of 10 feels about right; it’s not perfect, but it delivers on what matters most when you’re in a place like El Gouna. You’re here for the water, the relaxation, and maybe some decent food nearby (which, by the way, you’ll find plenty of within walking distance). This place gives you a solid home base without breaking the bank or overwhelming you with unnecessary bells and whistles.
