Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to the British Resort complex in El Kawthar, I wasn’t expecting much. The area’s gotten pretty built up over the years, and you know how some of these newer developments can feel a bit soulless. But Unit 02 actually surprised me in the best way possible.

The pool view they advertise? It’s legit. I mean, you’re literally looking out at this decent-sized pool area from your balcony, and honestly, that makes all the difference when you’re having your morning coffee. The apartment itself feels more spacious than most hotel rooms you’ll get in Hurghada – there’s actually room to spread out your stuff without tripping over suitcases every five minutes. The kitchen setup is pretty solid too, which I appreciated since eating out every meal in resort areas can get expensive fast. Nothing fancy, but the fridge is big enough and the stovetop works properly (you’d be surprised how often that’s not the case). The air conditioning – and this matters in Hurghada, trust me – actually keeps the place cool without sounding like a jet engine, which was a relief.

What I really liked about this place is how it sits in the resort complex. You get that resort amenities feel without the chaos of a massive hotel lobby. The pool area stays pretty chill during the day, though it does pick up in the evenings when families come down after the heat dies down. Parking was straightforward, which honestly can be a headache in some parts of Hurghada. The location works well if you want to explore beyond the resort bubble – you’re close enough to the main Hurghada action but far enough out that you’re not dealing with the constant traffic noise from Sheraton Road. I did notice the Wi-Fi could be a bit spotty in the evenings when everyone’s online, but during the day it was fine for basic stuff. The building itself is well-maintained, and the elevator actually works reliably (small victories, right?). One thing worth mentioning – if you’re planning to hit the local markets or want authentic Egyptian food, you’ll need to take a taxi or rent a car since this area is pretty resort-focused. But honestly, that 8.1 rating makes sense to me. It’s not going to blow your mind, but it delivers on what it promises, the space feels comfortable and lived-in rather than sterile, and you can actually relax without constantly worrying about whether basic things are going to work properly. For a four-star spot in Hurghada, that’s pretty solid value.

  The apartment was ideally located in a prime area of Hurghada. The resort's security personnel were very diligent in their duties. We are very grateful to Mr. Jamal for his warm welcome to the apartment.

  What could be improved: Actually not WiFi at all. When the connection was somehow working, the speed was so low that when I was writing a small text message to WhatsApp it was reaching at the other side 5 – 20 minutes later, even though the receiver of the message was on line and connected.

  Apartmán je ve skvělé lokalitě. Mohammed byl vždy ochotný a pomohl nám vyřešit nefungující klimatizaci. Apartmán je prostorný a pro 3 osoby naprosto dostačující. Skvělý výhled z balkonu na bazény.
  
  What could be improved: V pokoji nebyly ručníky. Vybavení kuchyně je jen opravdu základní a nádobí velmi špinavé. Koupelna byla také třeba umýt.

  Die Lage ist ideal, alles ist nur wenige Meter entfernt: Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, frisches Obst und Gemüse, sowie Kaffee und Bäckerei. Alles Weitere war bequem in maximal 10 Gehminuten zu erreichen.
  Das Apartment ist komplett ausgestattet und versprüht einen besonderen ägyptischen Charme – alles war einfach perfekt.

  Lei propriétaire qui etait à l'étranger et malgres tout très réactif et serviable. Qui a fait son possible pour améliorer la situation.

  What could be improved: La difficulté pour contacter la personne qui gère les appartements quand j'ai eu des soucis, attendre quil me recontact et devoir relancer a plusieurs reprise. L'un des deux appartements avait une clim qui faisait énormément de bruit donc impossible de dormir et dans l'autre appartement le matelas était trop trop dure on a dormi sur le canapé du salon.
