First Impressions

The whole place has this relaxed, residential feel that immediately puts you at ease. You’re not dealing with a bustling lobby or formal check-in counters here, which honestly was refreshing after some of the more hectic resort experiences I’ve had along Egypt’s Red Sea coast.

The Apartment Experience

Unit 15 feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a traditional accommodation — and I mean that in the best possible way. The apartment comes with all the basics you’d expect: a proper kitchen where you can actually cook (not just reheat things), separate living areas, and that pool view they promise in the name. The furnishing is straightforward and functional rather than fancy, but everything works as it should. What really struck me was how much space you get compared to a standard hotel room. There’s room to spread out, store your dive gear if you’re here for the Red Sea action, and just live normally for a few days.

Location and Getting Around

The British Resort complex sits in the El Kawthar area of Hurghada, which puts you in a sweet spot between the airport and the main tourist strip. You’re close enough to reach the popular dive sites and restaurants without being right in the thick of the crowds. The free parking is actually a bigger deal than you might think — I’ve stayed at places in Hurghada where finding a parking spot became a daily adventure, so having that sorted removes one headache entirely. The resort’s position also means you get those nice Red Sea breezes, especially in the evenings when the temperature drops to something more comfortable.

Pool and Outdoor Spaces

That pool view isn’t just marketing speak — you really do have a decent sight line to the water from the apartment. The pool area itself becomes the social heart of the complex, where you’ll find other guests (lots of couples, from what I observed) hanging out during the day. It’s not massive, but it’s well-maintained and gets good sun throughout the day. The surrounding deck area has enough space to claim a spot with your book or laptop. I found myself spending more time out there than I initially planned, just because it struck that perfect balance between having activity around you without feeling crowded.

Why Guests Love It

What makes this place work is the combination of independence and resort amenities that you don’t always find together. You get your own space to retreat to, cook when you want, and live on your own schedule, but you also have access to the pool and the general resort atmosphere when you’re in the mood for it. The couples who frequent this place seem to appreciate having somewhere they can be together without the constant buzz of a large hotel. It’s particularly good if you’re planning to stay for more than just a quick weekend — the apartment setup means you can settle in properly rather than living out of a suitcase.

  What could be improved: Det var vatten avbrott två gånger. I andra gången blev det drygt 20 timmar utan vatten. Det var jättevarmt så vi var tvungna att köpa vatten flaskor. Toaletten var och handfatet var rostade. Knivir och tallriker var av plast och begagnade. Boendet var inte värt vad vi betalade för . Wi-fi var sporadisk.Jag önskade jag kunde få mina pengar tillbaka. Vi kände oss lurade.
