You know what hit me first when I pulled up to Premier Le Reve? The sheer quiet of it all. I mean, Sahl Hasheesh is already this beautifully planned resort area south of Hurghada – none of the chaos you get in the main tourist strips – but this place takes it even further with their adults-only policy. No kids running around the pools at 7 AM, no splash contests during your afternoon nap. Just… peace.

The location is honestly perfect if you know the Red Sea coast. You’re about 20 minutes from Hurghada’s airport (which, trust me, matters when you’re dragging luggage in that heat), but you’re far enough from the crowded hotel zones that you actually feel like you’re somewhere special. Sahl Hasheesh has this gorgeous bay that’s naturally protected, so the water stays calm and crystal clear – I’ve snorkeled all along this coast, and this spot consistently has some of the best visibility. The hotel’s beach access is prime too, not squeezed between other properties like you see further north.

What really sets Le Reve apart though is how they’ve nailed the balance between luxury and actually being comfortable. The spa – and I’m usually skeptical about hotel spas – is genuinely excellent. They use local ingredients in their treatments, and the therapists actually know what they’re doing, not just going through motions. The pools are strategically placed so there’s always somewhere quiet to float, even during peak season (which here means European winter, when everyone’s escaping the cold). The rooms have these massive balconies where you can actually hear the waves, something that’s rarer than you’d think along this developed coastline.

I’ll be honest, the dining situation surprised me. Egyptian resort food can be hit or miss, but their restaurants – especially the seafood place overlooking the water – source really fresh fish from local boats. You can tell because the daily specials actually change based on what came in that morning. The breakfast spread is extensive without being overwhelming, and they make proper coffee, not the weak stuff you sometimes get at beach resorts.

One thing worth knowing: the wind patterns here are fantastic if you’re into water sports, but it can get breezy in the afternoons. That’s actually a blessing in summer, keeps things comfortable, but pack a light cover-up for dinner if you’re visiting between May and September. The hotel staff genuinely seems to enjoy working there – always a good sign – and they know the area well enough to point you toward the good dive sites or the little Bedouin coffee spot tucked away in the hills behind the resort.

With a 9.2 rating, honestly, it delivers. This isn’t one of those places that looks amazing in photos but disappoints in person. It’s thoughtfully designed, professionally run, and positioned in what I’d argue is the sweet spot of the Red Sea Riviera – developed enough for excellent infrastructure, but still maintaining that sense of getting away from it all.

  The hotel and grounds are well maintained. The main buffet restaurant was expansive without feeling like a canteen. There was a good gym. The staff at the beach bar were great.
  
  What could be improved: Having to get up early for sun loungers as there weren’t enough and they’d all be taken by 8am. Nowhere for snacks like ice cream. Beds too soft for our taste.

  The staff were so so so friendly and professional starting from the bill-boy to the reception manager Mr. Khalid who was a role model for how hospitality should look like even before we arrive to the property.
  
  What could be improved: Just I thought since it is a +16 resort I would see more young groups or couples but it was all elderly ppl making me feel odd. The place gets quiet around 10.30 but they have 24H bar and a lounge with pool or billiard till 1, thought if you wana enjoy night life there is a bar 10 min by car and a hookah tent in the old town.

  Everything about the hotel is amazing , the stuff are extra ordinary , the food is perfect , the vibes are relaxing and nice , it is very near to the old town , my only comment about the variety of ages , most of the hotel guests are very old , the young are very very few which made me feel odd but all other things are perfect , i would like to specially thank mr.Khalid for his great hospitality and care and all the restaurant waiters and the reception for their continuous smile and great vibes , actually the staff are the extra mile in this hotel !
