It’s tucked into the Tawila area, which – if you haven’t been to El Gouna before – is sort of the quieter residential side where you actually get to feel like you’re living somewhere rather than just visiting a resort bubble. The apartment itself has this clean, modern vibe without trying too hard to be fancy, and honestly, that worked perfectly for me.

What really got me was how thoughtfully everything was set up. The bedroom has proper blackout curtains (thank god, because Egyptian sun doesn’t mess around), and the kitchen actually has everything you need if you want to grab groceries from the Tamr Henna market down the road instead of eating out every meal. The AC works like a dream – crucial during those brutal afternoon hours when even locals disappear indoors. And here’s something I didn’t expect: the water pressure is fantastic. I mean, after a day of diving or kiting in the Red Sea, a proper shower makes all the difference. The whole place stays surprisingly quiet too, even though you’re not isolated from everything – you can still hear the gentle hum of El Gouna life, but none of the party noise that sometimes carries over from the marina area.

Location-wise, you’re perfectly positioned without being right in the thick of tourist central. It’s maybe a 10-minute walk to the Tamr Henna square where all the restaurants and cafes are, but far enough that you can actually relax on your little terrace without feeling like you’re on display. The lagoons are right there – honestly, some mornings I’d just grab coffee and walk down to watch the kiteboarders getting started before the wind really picked up. If you’re planning to explore beyond El Gouna, having that parking spot is clutch because you can easily drive into Hurghada proper or even make day trips down the coast. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too – none of that resort bureaucracy, just someone who actually seemed to care that you had everything you needed. Look, it’s not going to wow you with marble bathrooms or infinity pools, but if you want a genuine base to explore this part of the Red Sea coast without feeling like you’re staying in a generic hotel box, this place nails it. Plus, at this price point with that location? You’d be hard-pressed to find better value in El Gouna.
