You know what surprised me most about Princess Resort 110 A? It’s honestly way better than you’d expect from a 3-star place in Hurghada. I mean, don’t get me wrong – it’s not going to blow your mind, but there’s something refreshingly unpretentious about it that I actually found pretty charming.

The thing is, a lot of people dismiss this area because it’s not right in the marina district where all the fancy resorts cluster together, but that’s kind of missing the point. You’re still only about fifteen minutes from the main Hurghada action, and honestly, being a bit removed from all that tourist chaos has its perks. The neighborhood feels more… I don’t know, more like actual Egypt? You’ll hear the call to prayer echoing properly here, and there’s a little local market just down the street where you can grab fresh fruit for practically nothing – something you’d never find if you were stuck in one of those all-inclusive bubbles closer to the coast.

The resort itself sits in this quiet pocket where you can actually sleep without hearing quad bikes roaring past your window at 2 AM (trust me, that’s worth its weight in gold if you’ve stayed anywhere near Sheraton Road). Check-in was surprisingly smooth – the staff genuinely seemed happy to see us, not just going through the motions. The rooms are clean and functional, though the AC units are those older wall-mounted ones that sound like a small aircraft taking off, so pack earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. But here’s the thing – the beds are actually comfortable, which is more than I can say for some of the pricier places I’ve crashed at along the Red Sea.

What really won me over was the pool area. It’s not massive, but it gets this perfect afternoon light that makes everything feel golden and relaxed. The poolside service is surprisingly attentive – Ahmed (I think that was his name?) remembered my coffee order after just two days, which honestly made my mornings. And the Wi-Fi actually works by the pool, so you can properly catch up on emails or video call home without wanting to throw your phone into the Red Sea.

The location works really well if you’re planning to do some diving or snorkeling. Most of the dive shops will pick you up from here no problem, and you’re close enough to the harbor that you’re not adding an extra hour to your day trips. Plus, there’s decent parking if you’re brave enough to rent a car and explore some of the desert areas inland – which I’d actually recommend if you’ve got a few extra days.

Look, it’s got that 7.5 rating for a reason – it does what it promises without any major disappointments. The breakfast is pretty standard continental fare, nothing special but fills you up. The evening gets quiet early, which is perfect if you’re one of those people who actually wants to relax on vacation rather than party until dawn. It’s the kind of place where you can recharge properly between adventures, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need in a destination like Hurghada.

  What could be improved: Das Badezimmer war karg eingerichtet. Es fehlt ein kleines Schränken oder ähnlich um etwas abzulegen. Der Wasserdruck in der Dusche war sehr niedrig.
