Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw “Princess resort luxury A109” I thought it was going to be one of those places with a fancy name that doesn’t live up to the hype. But honestly? This little gem in Hurghada completely surprised me. It’s technically a 3-star property, but whoever’s running this place clearly doesn’t care about star ratings because they’re operating way above their category.

The location is pretty perfect if you know Hurghada at all. You’re right on Princess beach, which – and I mean this – is one of the quieter stretches of coastline before you hit the main tourist chaos further north. The Red Sea here is absolutely stunning, that ridiculous turquoise color that looks fake in photos but hits you right in the face when you’re standing there at sunrise with your coffee. I actually found myself getting up early just to have those first few minutes on the beach before other guests started trickling down. The resort sits back from the main Sheraton Road, so you don’t get the constant buzz of tour buses and taxis that can drive you crazy at some of the bigger properties.

What really got me was the attention to detail – you know how most places this size cut corners? Not here. The staff (honestly, some of the friendliest people I’ve met in Egypt) seem to actually remember your name after day one, and they’re not just going through the motions. Check-in was smooth, no weird hidden fees or awkward upselling attempts. The rooms themselves are clean and well-maintained, nothing fancy but everything works properly – which, let’s be real, isn’t always a given at this price point. Air conditioning actually cools the room, hot water is consistently hot, and the Wi-Fi doesn’t make you want to throw your phone against the wall.

The pool area becomes this lovely social spot in the evenings where you’ll end up chatting with other travelers, but during the day it’s usually quiet enough to actually relax. Food was surprisingly good too – I mean, it’s not going to win any culinary awards, but the breakfast spread had fresh fruit, decent coffee, and they do this Egyptian breakfast that’s worth trying. The restaurant staff clearly takes pride in what they’re serving, which makes all the difference.

Here’s the thing that really impressed me: this place has a 9.9 rating, and after staying there, I totally get why. It’s not trying to be something it’s not – no over-the-top luxury pretensions or fake glitz. Instead, it just does everything really well. The beach access is direct and easy, the rooms are comfortable, the staff genuinely cares, and you’re close enough to Hurghada’s main attractions without being stuck in the middle of tourist madness. If you’re looking for a place where you can actually relax and feel like you’re getting honest value for your money, this is it. Sometimes the best discoveries are the ones that don’t shout about how amazing they are – they just quietly deliver.
