Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Private Villa Y51 on El Gouna Club Road, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the ratings don’t tell the whole story, and this villa actually surprised me in the best way possible.

The thing about El Gouna is that it’s not your typical Egyptian resort town – it’s got this sort of planned community vibe that either clicks with you or doesn’t. This villa sits right in the heart of it, and I mean that literally. You’re close enough to walk to the marina (maybe 10 minutes if you don’t get distracted by the lagoons), but tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with the constant buzz of tourists wandering around at all hours. The three bedrooms are actually spacious – and I say that as someone who’s stayed in plenty of places where “bedroom” apparently means “closet with a bed shoved in it.” Each room has decent AC, which honestly is non-negotiable in Hurghada, especially if you’re visiting between May and September when it gets properly hot.

What really won me over was the little details that someone clearly thought about. The kitchen is fully equipped – not just some mini-fridge situation – so you can actually cook if you want to skip the restaurant scene for a night. There’s something satisfying about picking up fresh fish from the local market and grilling it yourself while watching the sunset from the terrace. Speaking of the terrace, it’s got these views of the Red Sea that hit different in the early morning when the light bounces off the water just right. The wifi actually works well enough for video calls (tested it multiple times), and there’s decent parking right outside, which might sound boring but trust me, you’ll appreciate it when you see how packed some of the other streets get during peak season. The only minor thing – and I’m being picky here – is that the hot water takes a minute to kick in, so don’t expect instant showers. But honestly, for the price point and that 8.5 rating it’s earned, I get why people keep coming back. It’s one of those places that feels more like borrowing a friend’s vacation home than staying at some impersonal hotel, and in El Gouna’s artificial-but-charming landscape, that authenticity actually means something.

  The property is in a good location , but you must have a car.. the property was just renovated ( new Ac’s- maintenance done properly – clean) the pool was awesome and the environment was very relaxing. Staff was great Korolos and waleed.
  
  What could be improved: Furniture little bit old, I think they will renovate it step by step like other stuff.

  Great location and the views, propertly is spacious and clean.

  The swimming pool is amazing. Staff are very into detail, helpful, and responsive.
  And it's super clean and well maintained.
  Kitchen has everything we needed and all appliances are new and top quality brands.
  The location is great 3 minutes to downtown by Car.
  Will definitely stay there again

  Villa is really nice and lots of space. Views are extraordinary. Easy to get to the center of El Gouna.
  Heated pool is great during winter time.
  
  What could be improved: There is no dishwasher. Only thing I missed during holiday because we are used to it. But it's not hard to wash dishes.

  loved the privet pool. villa was well situated in a good location. the 3 bedrooms are spacious and comfortable.

  The view from the villa is awesome, we love El Gouna.
  The beds were comfortable and the villa was clean when we arrived.
  The man who cleaned the pool daily was brilliant.
  
  What could be improved: A few suggestions to make it even better:
  A hairdryer for use by guests.
  An information pack with telephone numbers of tuk tuks, taxis, restaurants etc. And perhaps a map of El Gouna, particularly for people first time to El Gouna.
  The outside space could do with a bit of a spruce; everything was a little tired outside, broken umbrellas, chipped paint, stained covers for the chairs, pool grouting and broken slabs.
