Okay, so I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name “Proper & Plush 1 BDR Mangroovy,” I thought it was trying way too hard. But you know what? It actually lives up to the hype, and I mean that in the best possible way. This place sits right in the heart of Mangroovy Residence in El Gouna, which is basically this incredibly well-planned resort town that feels like someone took the best parts of a Mediterranean village and plopped it down on the Red Sea coast. The apartment itself is genuinely plush – I’m talking about those little touches that make you feel like you’re staying somewhere special, not just crashing for the night. The bedroom has this gorgeous view that honestly made me want to skip my morning dive just to sit there with coffee a bit longer.

What really sold me on this place, though, is how it handles the whole “beach and pool access” thing. Look, every place in El Gouna claims beach access, but most of the time you’re walking fifteen minutes through winding lagoon paths (which are beautiful, don’t get me wrong, but not when you’re hauling dive gear). Here, you’re actually close enough to hear the water lapping – and the pool area never felt crowded, even during peak season in March when half of Europe seems to descend on this place. The Mangroovy complex itself is sort of tucked away from the main Abu Tig Marina chaos, so you get that peaceful vibe without being completely isolated from the good restaurants and bars. I spent most evenings just wandering over to the marina for dinner, maybe a twenty-minute stroll along those gorgeous lagoon walkways.

The practical stuff matters too, and this is where the place really shines. Check-in was smooth – no standing around in a lobby for an hour like at some of the bigger resorts. The Wi-Fi actually works (crucial if you’re trying to upload those Red Sea underwater shots), and there’s proper air conditioning that doesn’t sound like a helicopter landing on your roof. Parking isn’t an issue if you rent a car to explore beyond El Gouna, though honestly, the tuk-tuks and shuttle boats make getting around pretty easy. I did notice some construction noise in the mornings around 8 AM – El Gouna is always expanding – but it never lasted more than an hour or so. The only real downside? The place is so comfortable that I found myself wanting to lounge around instead of exploring Hurghada proper or taking those day trips to Luxor I’d planned. Sometimes a 3-star place with a perfect 10 rating just gets everything right in a way that makes the fancy resorts seem like they’re trying too hard.

  Great location, very close to the private beach and pool. Very clean and its great for the value.
  Highly recommend. We will definitely return to this apartment and place El Gouna!!
