So here’s the thing about Pyramisa Beach Resort in Sahl Hasheesh – it’s actually one of those places where the five-star rating isn’t just marketing fluff. I mean, when you first pull up (and parking is refreshingly straightforward, by the way), you’re immediately hit by how they’ve managed to balance that grand resort feel without making it feel like a Vegas casino dropped into the Red Sea coast. The lobby’s got this understated elegance thing going on, and honestly, the check-in was smoother than most places I’ve stayed at half the price.

What really sets this place apart though is the location in Sahl Hasheesh itself – you know how some resorts just plop themselves anywhere along the coast? Well, this stretch is actually part of a planned resort town, so everything feels more intentional. The beach here is genuinely stunning, with that impossibly blue water you see in photos but assume is oversaturated. The snorkeling right off the beach is decent too, though if you’re serious about diving, you’ll want to head to the spots near Soma Bay or take a day trip to the better reefs further south. The resort’s dive center can sort you out, and their instructors actually know what they’re talking about – refreshing change from some of the cowboy operations you’ll find in Hurghada proper.

The rooms are where you really feel that eight-out-of-ten rating. Mine had this massive balcony overlooking the pool area (which, fair warning, can get pretty lively during peak season – we’re talking European families and Russian tourists who know how to have a good time). The AC works like a dream, which matters more than you’d think when it’s 40 degrees outside. Food’s surprisingly good too – the main restaurant does this thing where they rotate themes each night, and while the Italian night was sort of hit-or-miss, their seafood nights are genuinely impressive. There’s also this beachside grill that does fantastic grilled fish if you time it right around sunset. Pro tip: the local staff will steer you toward the hammour if you ask what’s freshest – trust them on this one. The only real downside is that drinks are pricey even by resort standards, but that’s pretty much par for the course at Egyptian five-stars. If you’re looking for a place where you can actually relax without constantly thinking about what’s not working or what corner they’ve cut, this is it. The staff genuinely seems to care about getting things right, and after a few days of Egyptian hospitality at this level, you’ll understand why people keep coming back to this part of the world.

  The hotel is very clean and the cleaning staff is always present around the guests.I want to thank espacially Hassan who was responsible for our room cleaning, he was perfect in all cleaning aspects, i have found the room always clean and comfotable.
  Animation drinks and baverage is always present in different places and big variaty.
  People in the front desk are very nice. For that i want to thank Karim who was very welcoming and helpful, a young and ambitious man who was always there for our concerns and questions, i hope that all tourism staff that i met was like him ❤️
  I want to thank also Abdrahman from the restaurant staff for his hospitality.
