Hotel Description

Honestly, when I first pulled up to Red Sea Apartment Hotel on Corniche Street, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place – but you know what? Sometimes the unassuming spots surprise you the most. The building sits right there on the main Corniche strip in Hurghada, which means you’re literally a stone’s throw from the water without paying those crazy beachfront resort prices.

What actually struck me first was how quiet my room was, considering we’re talking about one of the busiest streets in Hurghada. I mean, during the day you’ll hear the usual mix of traffic and street vendors hawking their coral jewelry, but the windows do a decent job keeping the noise down when you need to crash. The apartment setup is pretty clever too – you get a proper kitchenette, which honestly saved me a fortune since eating out for every meal in the tourist zone gets expensive fast. Nothing fancy, but the fridge works great and there’s enough counter space to prep some breakfast or late-night snacks from the little market down the street.

The staff here actually know the area, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many hotel workers are just going through the motions. When I asked about getting to the marina (I wanted to book a diving trip), the guy at reception drew me a little map showing the shortcut through the side streets – saved me about fifteen minutes of walking in that brutal afternoon sun. Location-wise, you’re really well positioned. The main bazaar is maybe a ten-minute walk north, and if you head south along the Corniche, you hit some of the better local restaurants that aren’t total tourist traps. There’s this little seafood place called El Dar Darak about five minutes away that absolutely nobody talks about online, but the grilled hammour there is incredible.

The 8.1 rating makes total sense once you spend a few days here. It’s not luxury – the furniture’s a bit dated and don’t expect marble bathrooms or anything – but everything works properly, the beds are actually comfortable, and the air conditioning keeps up even during those sweltering July afternoons when it hits 40 degrees outside. What really won me over was the little balcony situation. Most rooms have at least a small one, and while you’re not getting direct sea views (you’ll catch glimpses between buildings), there’s something nice about having your morning coffee outside while watching Hurghada wake up below.

I’d definitely stay here again, especially if you’re the type who wants to explore the city rather than just plant yourself at a resort pool. The price point is fair for what you get, parking isn’t a nightmare if you rent a car, and you’re close enough to everything that matters without being right in the chaos of the main hotel district. Just pack some mosquito spray – those evening breezes off the Red Sea are lovely, but they do bring a few uninvited guests along for the ride.

It is a nice place to stay, the food in their restaurant is very nice, the staff is very nice and helpful, the rooms are clean and the place even has an aquarium, which is not too big, but is was good fun with some terrifying fish.
They were very flexible with our schedules and again super helpful.

What could be improved: The beach part is a bit misleading.
