You know what? The Regina Resort honestly surprised me when I rolled up to Sheraton Road – and I mean that in the best way possible. I’ll be straight with you, when you see that 4-star rating, you’re not expecting anything groundbreaking, but this place actually delivers where it counts. The aqua park is genuinely fun (not just some sad kiddie pool situation), and the location puts you right in the sweet spot of Hurghada without being stuck in the chaos of the main tourist strip.

What really got me was how the staff seemed to actually care – I mean, you can tell when people are just going through the motions versus when they’re genuinely trying to help. The front desk crew knew their stuff about getting around town, and honestly, that matters more than fancy marble lobbies. The rooms are… well, they’re solid. Not Instagram-perfect, but everything works, the AC actually cools the place down (crucial in Egypt, trust me), and the beds are comfortable enough that you’ll sleep well after a day in the sun. The water pressure in the shower is decent too – I’ve stayed at places twice the price where you’re basically getting misted.

Here’s the thing about the aqua park though – it’s actually the star of the show. The slides are proper fun, not just for kids, and the lazy river concept works surprisingly well when you just want to float around with a drink. Gets busy around mid-morning when the day-trippers show up, but early morning and late afternoon? Perfect. The 7.1 rating makes sense to me because while everything works and you’ll have a good time, there are little things that keep it from being exceptional – maybe the restaurant food is a bit hit-or-miss, or some of the poolside furniture has seen better days. But honestly? For what you’re paying and what you get, especially with that water park access, it’s a solid choice. If you’re the type who spends most of your time out exploring Hurghada anyway and just needs a reliable base with some fun amenities, this place hits that sweet spot perfectly.

  The hotel itself was lovely the grounds and the room were fantastic. We stayed in the Regal building and what a stunning view. Staff couldn't help enough
  
  What could be improved: Food and Alcohol were horrendous. Food was always cold with no taste. One evening g the chicken wasn't even cooked and had blood pouring out of it. Was shocking

  Located on sheraton road next to plenty shops and restaurants. Great bungalow rooms spacious and very comfortable beds. Cleaner was round every day, reception staff helpful.
  
  What could be improved: The food at this hotel was not good, we suffered from bad stomachs half way through due to food and drink. The dinner is repetitive and tasteless. Breakfast is good as they at least have an omelette station. Their local alcohol was not great, but the bartenders were lovely people and friendly. At least mcdonalds is over the road, that saved us a few times for food.
