Honestly, when I first pulled up to Relax Home on Hasan Aref Street, I wasn’t expecting much – I mean, the name sounds pretty generic, right? But this place actually surprised me in the best way possible. It’s tucked away in this quieter part of Hurghada where you’re not constantly hearing the tour buses rumble by, which is honestly refreshing if you’ve spent any time in the main tourist zones.

The thing about this hotel is that it feels like someone actually thought about what travelers need, you know? The rooms have that clean, modern vibe without being sterile – sort of like staying at a friend’s well-designed apartment rather than a cookie-cutter hotel room. What really got me was the attention to little details that most places miss. The shower pressure is actually decent (and trust me, that’s not always a given in Egypt), and they’ve got proper blackout curtains that actually block the morning sun when you want to sleep in after a late night exploring the Marina Boulevard area.

The staff here genuinely seem to care about what they’re doing – not in that overly rehearsed way you get at some resorts, but more like they’re proud of the place. When I mentioned I was looking for good local seafood that wasn’t touristy, the guy at reception didn’t just hand me a brochure. He actually drew me a little map to this spot locals go to, about a 10-minute walk toward the corniche. That kind of thing makes a difference, especially when you’re trying to experience a place beyond the standard hotel-resort bubble.

Location-wise, you’re close enough to everything that matters – the Marina is maybe 15 minutes if you’re walking at a leisurely pace, and there are plenty of local cafes and shops within a few blocks if you want to grab something quick. But here’s the thing: you’re far enough from the main strip that you can actually get some peace and quiet when you want it. I noticed the noise level drops significantly after about 10 PM, which is perfect if you’re planning to do some of those early morning diving trips (and let’s be real, most people come to Hurghada for the Red Sea diving).

The 9.7 rating honestly makes sense once you’ve been there for a day or two. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but everything just… works. The WiFi is reliable (important if you need to stay connected), the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a jet engine, and the breakfast spread is more thoughtful than you’d expect – they actually have some local items mixed in with the standard international fare, which I appreciated. Plus, parking isn’t a nightmare if you’re renting a car to explore the desert areas outside the city. It’s the kind of place where you can tell the owners actually stay there themselves sometimes, if that makes sense. Not groundbreaking, but solidly good at all the things that matter when you’re trying to enjoy your time in Egypt without dealing with unnecessary hassles.

  Everything is great as always. The apartment is comfortable, equipped with everything you need. This time I lived for quite a long time, so I used the transport services of the owner of the apartment for a trip to El Gouna. A very interesting town. I recommend. Ahmed is a very friendly punctual man. Arrived on time, picked it up and quickly got there. In the evening, he arrived and drove home on a call. He is fluent in English, so there are absolutely no problems in communication. Thanks for a great vacation.

  During my business trip, I stayed in this cozy apartment with a very comfortable bed. I was pleased with the air conditioner with a good silent mode. Separately, I want to note the hospitality of the host, Mr. Ahmed. He met me at the airport, helped me with a heavy bag, water, tea, coffee, a light snack were waiting for me in the apartment, which helped me a lot after a long flight. I would gladly extend my stay in this wonderful house. I wish every success to the owner, Mr. Ahmed

  The owner and doorman are very nice, the location is closed to the dock, it is really a good choice to live here if you want to dive. BTW, the room is really big and the environment is really clean

  The owner is very friendly, willing to help with everything even he himself picked up us from and back to the airport. The apartment is very nice, clean, comfortable, equiped with eveything needed for vacation. Near the apartment there are supermarkets and shops, very good restaurants with delicious food and a beach is only few meters in walking distance. Amazing apartment for such price.
