Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Rivoli Suites on El-Nasr Road, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the best surprises come in unassuming packages. This little gem sits right in the New Kawther area, and while it’s not beachfront (you’re maybe a 10-minute walk from the Red Sea), that actually works in your favor because you’re not paying those crazy waterfront prices.

The thing about Rivoli Suites is that it gets the basics absolutely right – and I mean really right. The suites are properly spacious, which is refreshing when you’ve been cramped in typical hotel boxes elsewhere in Hurghada. Each one has this lived-in feel that’s comfortable without being fancy, and honestly, the air conditioning works like a dream (crucial when you’re dealing with those blazing Egyptian afternoons). The staff here actually remembers your name after day two, which sounds small but makes such a difference when you’re trying to feel settled somewhere. They’re genuinely helpful too – not just the scripted “how can I help you” stuff, but real local knowledge about which restaurants won’t tourist-trap you and when the best time to hit the coral reefs is.

What really sold me on this place was the vibe in the evenings. The pool area becomes this surprisingly social spot where you’ll find a mix of European families, Egyptian couples on weekend getaways, and the occasional solo traveler who clearly knows something the rest of us are still figuring out. It’s never rowdy – more like pleasantly animated. The location on El-Nasr Road means you’re actually in a real neighborhood with local shops and that fantastic little coffee place two blocks down (ask at reception, they’ll point you in the right direction). Sure, you’ll hear some street noise during the day, but it dies down after dinner and honestly, it beats the artificial quiet of those isolated resort compounds. Plus, getting a taxi or microbus to the marina or old town is ridiculously easy from here. The 8.5 rating this place has earned makes perfect sense once you spend a few nights – it’s not trying to be something it’s not, but what it does, it does well. If you want genuine Egyptian hospitality without the resort markup, and you don’t mind a short walk to the beach, Rivoli Suites is one of those finds that makes you feel slightly smug about your travel choices.

  We have stayed here for 1 night, we had a 2 bedroom apartment, nice, big, clean apartment, comfy beds, check in was nice and smooth, the restaurant serves delicious food, we arrived at 10PM. I would recommend this accommodation

  All the food were so delicious we literally loved them. Breakfast was enough. Staff were nice and willing to help about anything. We met with Sherif who offered affordable prices for the tours.
