Hotel Description

You know what surprised me most about Scandic Resort B312? For a 3-star place right on the Red Sea, it honestly punches way above its weight class. I mean, that 9.1 rating isn’t just some fluke – this place gets the basics so right that you’ll forget you’re not staying somewhere twice the price.

The location is actually perfect if you want that proper Hurghada beach experience without the chaos of the main hotel strip. You’re literally steps from the water – and I’m talking about that gorgeous stretch where the coral reefs are still intact, not the picked-over sections closer to town. The snorkeling here is incredible, honestly better than some of the expensive resort areas further north. What I loved is how the hotel feels integrated with the neighborhood rather than walled off from it. You can easily walk to those little local restaurants where the fishermen eat (try the grilled red snapper at Abu Ahmed’s place, maybe a 5-minute stroll), but you’re still far enough from the main Sheraton Road bustle that nights are actually quiet.

The staff – and this is something you notice immediately – they just seem to genuinely care about getting things right. Check-in was smooth, none of that “your room isn’t ready” nonsense even though I arrived pretty early. The rooms themselves are clean and comfortable, nothing fancy but everything works properly. The air conditioning is solid (crucial in summer, trust me), hot water is reliable, and the beds are actually decent quality. I mean, the décor won’t win any awards, but honestly who cares when you’re spending most of your time on that beautiful beach or exploring Hurghada’s old town? What impressed me was the attention to small details – fresh towels daily without having to ask, housekeeping that doesn’t wake you up at 7 AM, and surprisingly good water pressure in the shower. The balcony views of the Red Sea are stunning, especially at sunset when the water turns all these shades of gold and pink. Parking is easy and free, which sounds minor until you’ve dealt with the nightmare of finding a spot in central Hurghada during peak season. The hotel’s restaurant serves solid Egyptian and international food – nothing revolutionary, but fresh ingredients and fair portions. Their ful medames at breakfast is actually really good, and the coffee is decent (better than most 3-star places I’ve stayed at). You’re also perfectly positioned for day trips – the marina for boat excursions is close, and getting to places like Giftun Island or the coral gardens is super convenient from here.

  Amazing location with surrounding amrket and beach. Its is large room with living room and a kitchen. Like a home there. If you are planning to go with doing everything by youself I think its a best place to stay. Hurghada is anyways a small city, so moving around is not difficult.
