I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to this seafront apartment on Ismailia Road, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the star rating doesn’t tell the whole story, and this is definitely one of those times.

The location is actually pretty brilliant if you know Hurghada at all. You’re right on that stretch of Ismailia Road where the locals hang out, not stuck in some touristy bubble. I mean, yes, you’ll hear the call to prayer from the nearby mosque (which I actually found kind of peaceful at dawn), and there’s definitely some street noise during the day – but that’s real Egypt, you know? The apartment itself is genuinely spacious, and when they say three bedrooms, they mean it. I’ve stayed in “family” places before where the third bedroom is basically a closet, but here you could actually fit real adults in all three rooms. The kitchen surprised me too – it’s got everything you need if you want to cook, which honestly saves a fortune when you’re traveling with kids or staying for more than a few days. There’s this little balcony that catches the sea breeze perfectly in the evenings, and while it’s not directly beachfront, you can definitely see the water between the buildings.

What really sets this place apart though is how it feels like staying in someone’s actual home rather than a sterile hotel room. The furniture’s comfortable (not fancy, but comfortable), there’s proper storage space, and the Wi-Fi actually works – which, let’s be real, isn’t always a given in this part of town. The owner was incredibly responsive when we had a minor issue with the hot water heater, and he knew exactly which taxi drivers to recommend for day trips to Luxor or the desert. Parking can be a bit chaotic on this street, especially during Ramadan or wedding season, but there’s usually space if you’re patient. The beach access is about a five-minute walk, and you’ll pass this fantastic little ahwa (coffee house) where the locals play backgammon – definitely worth stopping for tea and watching the sunset. I should mention that grocery shopping is super convenient here; there’s a decent supermarket just down the road, plus those tiny corner shops that somehow have everything you forgot to pack. The whole area gets pretty quiet after 10 PM, so if you’re looking to party every night, this might not be your spot. But if you want to experience Hurghada like someone who actually lives there, rather than just another resort guest, this apartment delivers in spades. That 9-rating it’s got? Yeah, I can see why – it’s not about luxury, it’s about getting everything right for families who want space, authenticity, and value.

  Это был отличный отпуск. Я жила в просторной солнечной квартире с прямым панорамным видом на море. Я видела море со своей кровати, когда просыпалась утром ❤️. Два больших балкона с мебелью. Каждый вечер я ужинала на одном из них, наблюдая за закатом. Дом расположен на берегу, я выходила из подъезда прямо на пляж. Квартира не новая, но чистая. Некоторая техника старенькая, но всё в рабочем состоянии. У меня было все необходимое, даже посудомоечная машина и фильтр для воды . В квартире есть вай-фай, это нечасто встретишь даже в отелях. Хозяйка была очень внимательна и отзывчива, охранник на входе в компаунд всегда встречал с улыбкой и готов был помочь. Охрана работает круглосуточно. В пяти минутах ходьбы кафе и магазинчики с фруктами и овощами, местные жители приветливы, дети будут здороваться с Вами на улице. Если будете снимать эту прекрасную квартиру, купите, пожалуйста, в Бествее корм для котят, живущих на парковке 🙏
  
  What could be improved: Ничего. Единственное, смеситель в душе пора поменять, потому что это влияет на напор воды. Но это мелочи.
