You know what struck me first about the Sea Star Beau Rivage? It’s actually tucked away on this quiet stretch near the Military Hospital — which sounds sketchy but honestly makes it one of the more peaceful spots in Hurghada. Most tourists are fighting for space along the main hotel strip, but here you get this sort of hidden gem vibe without being stuck in the middle of nowhere.

The property itself is definitely trying to hit that five-star mark, and in a lot of ways it succeeds. The lobby has this grand marble thing going on that feels appropriately fancy without being intimidating, and the staff genuinely seems to care about getting things right. I mean, check-in was smoother than half the places I’ve stayed at twice the price. What really got me though was stepping out onto their beach area — it’s not the biggest stretch of sand you’ll find in Hurghada, but it’s well-maintained and the water access is perfect. The Red Sea here is just… well, if you’re into snorkeling or diving, you probably already know this area delivers. The coral’s still pretty vibrant compared to some of the more beaten-up spots further north.

Here’s the thing about the rooms (and this is where that 7.8 rating starts to make sense) — they’re comfortable and clean, but you can tell this place has been around for a while. The AC works great, which honestly is all I really care about in Egyptian summer, and the bathrooms are spacious enough that you’re not bumping into everything. But some of the finishes could use refreshing, and the WiFi can be spotty depending on which floor you’re on. The pool area is where they really shine though — there’s actually space to spread out, and it doesn’t turn into a zoo even when they’re fully booked. The bar service is solid too, though don’t expect craft cocktails or anything fancy. It’s more about cold drinks and that relaxed Red Sea vibe. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets in the evenings — you’re close enough to walk into central Hurghada if you want the action, but far enough away that you can actually sleep without earplugs. The hotel runs a decent shuttle service too, which saves you from haggling with taxi drivers every time you want to hit the market or grab dinner somewhere else.

  The service is excellent in all places. All the employees deal with you with a sincere smile. The breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet, the food tastes great. There is a different buffet every day and the breakfast buffet is very rich. There is a heated swimming pool. The entertainment team has different shows every day.
