You know what? When I first walked into this Sea Dreams apartment, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect – I mean, three-star places in Hurghada can be pretty hit or miss. But this one-bedroom spot on the third floor actually surprised me in the best way. The sea view isn’t just some marketing fluff either; you genuinely wake up to this gorgeous stretch of Red Sea right outside your window, and if you time it right during the quieter morning hours, you can watch the fishing boats heading out before the dive groups start their day.

The apartment itself feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a typical hotel room – there’s this lived-in comfort that I really appreciated. The kitchen is small but functional (perfect for making coffee the way you actually like it), and honestly, after eating out for days, being able to grab some fresh bread from the local bakery down the street and make a simple breakfast while watching the water was kind of perfect. The bed is comfortable enough, though the pillows are a bit soft for my taste, but that’s pretty standard for this part of Egypt. What I loved was how quiet it gets at night – you’re close enough to the action that you can walk to the marina area in about ten minutes, but far enough that you’re not dealing with the late-night music from the resort hotels.

The location is actually pretty smart if you know Hurghada at all. You’re in this residential-ish area that feels more authentic than the touristy hotel strip, but you can still easily get to the good dive shops and restaurants. There’s a little grocery store basically next door where the owner speaks decent English and stocks all the basics you might need. Parking was never an issue when I had the rental car, which honestly can be a nightmare in some parts of town. The building itself is nothing fancy – it’s got that slightly worn Egyptian apartment building vibe – but everything works, the AC keeps up with the heat (crucial in summer), and the WiFi is actually reliable enough for video calls back home. I’d definitely stay here again, especially for the price point. It’s one of those places where the 8-out-of-10 rating makes total sense – not luxury, but solid, comfortable, and genuinely pleasant to come back to after a day of diving or exploring the desert.
