The beach access – and I mean truly free beach access, not some resort fee nonsense – puts you right on one of those stretches where the sand is actually soft underfoot and the water stays that impossible turquoise color even when you wade out past your waist. The apartment itself feels lived-in rather than sterile, which I appreciate. Sure, it’s got that three-star vibe (don’t expect marble countertops or anything fancy), but the one bedroom is spacious enough that you’re not tripping over your suitcase, and there’s actually decent water pressure in the shower – something you can’t take for granted around here. The kitchen setup works well if you want to grab some fresh fish from the local market and cook it yourself, though honestly, with all the restaurants within walking distance in Mangroovy, you might not bother much with cooking.

Location-wise, you’re in this sweet spot where you can walk to the marina area when you want some action – the bars and restaurants there get pretty lively, especially on weekends when the Cairo crowd comes down – but you’re far enough away that you won’t hear the music pumping until 3 AM. I actually found myself spending most mornings on that little stretch of beach right outside, coffee in hand, watching the kitesurfers do their thing before the wind picks up too much. The staff at the property were genuinely helpful too, not just going through the motions. They pointed me toward this little café tucked away near the lagoon that I never would have found otherwise, and when I had issues with the WiFi (which, let’s be real, happens everywhere in Egypt), they sorted it out without the usual runaround.   The place was very clean, looks exactly as shown in pictures. Also the location was 5 mins walk to the beach and 2 mins walk to the pool.
