You know what really got me about Selena Bay? It’s not just another one of those cookie-cutter Hurghada resorts where you feel like you’re in a tourist bubble. I mean, sure, it’s got that luxury vibe going on, but there’s something more authentic about the whole setup. The private beach thing isn’t just marketing speak either – you actually get this stretch of coastline that feels like your own little slice of the Red Sea, which is honestly pretty rare these days with how developed this area has become.

The apartment itself surprised me. I was expecting something nice but fairly standard, you know? But walking in, the space actually feels lived-in rather than sterile. The balcony overlooks the water, obviously, but what I didn’t expect was how quiet it stays even during peak season. I think it’s because they’re set back just enough from the main Hurghada strip – you’re maybe a 10-minute walk from all the dive shops and restaurants along the corniche, but you don’t get the constant buzz of scooters and tour groups that can drive you crazy at some places. The morning coffee situation is perfect too; there’s this little kitchenette setup that actually works (shocking, I know), so you can skip the crowded breakfast scenes if you want.

What really sells this place though is the beach access. Look, I’ve stayed at plenty of “beachfront” hotels where you’re fighting for a decent spot or dealing with vendors every five minutes. Here, it’s different – maybe because it’s more of a residential setup than a massive resort. The snorkeling right off the beach is actually decent too, which you can’t say about a lot of spots in Hurghada anymore. The water stays pretty calm most of the year, and I noticed they keep the reef area well-maintained. Honestly, the whole experience feels more like you’re staying at a friend’s place who happens to have incredible taste and a killer location. The staff knows your name after day two, check-in was smooth (they actually met me at the property instead of some generic lobby), and the whole vibe is just… relaxed. It’s pricier than your average Hurghada stay, sure, but when you factor in the privacy, the location, and not having to fight crowds for everything, it’s worth it. Plus, that 9.5 rating isn’t just fluff – people genuinely seem to love this place, and after spending time there, I get why.

  Even though the location is 20 minutes away from Hurghada, we chose this for its tranquility and front beach acces! We took kitesurfing lessons, enjoyed the beach, pools and restaurant! This is not a Hotel, its a apartment complex resort, so do not expect breakfast or service as in a hotel! But the resort had everything you could need, a market inside, 2 more outside the resort and a pharmacy right next to it. Everything was clean, we were able to wash our clothes, had wifi and everything! Had a great time all arround! Also the apartment had a binder with everything you need to know in hurghada! Restaurants, tours, shops, etc.

  Having previously stayed at Selena Bay I knew I was going to a good complex. The apartment was clean, well maintained. 2 good size bedrooms with plenty of wardrobe space. The air con was a god send and worked very well.
  
  What could be improved: The only downside of the apartment (very minor) was that in both bedrooms there was a window to a service area, if these had had curtains or even been blacked out it would of been better especially as sunrise is quite early

  Everything. The place was more equipped than our own house (microwave, toaster, washing machine, iron and iron table, hair drier). It was stylish, spacious, comfortable and super clean. The owner was also very kind. We arrived like 4 hours ahead our check-in time and he was so kind as to come fast to let us in. We also booked the paradise beach tour with him and all went great. We’ve had a lovely stay!

  The apartment was amazing! Very modern, clean and with everything you might need. The resort is also wonderful, with several swimming pools, access to private beach and restaurants (which can be a bit more expensive than average but still affordable). Would definitely come back and recommend this place!
