Look, I’ve stayed at plenty of Red Sea resorts, but Sentido Caribbean World Soma Bay actually surprised me – and that doesn’t happen often anymore. The thing is, most places along the Hurghada-Safaga stretch feel like they’re trying too hard, you know? But this one sits about 49 kilometers south of Hurghada proper, which means you’re far enough from the chaos of Sheraton Road and all those packed hotel strips, yet close enough that you’re not completely stranded if you want to venture out.

What really got me was the morning routine here. I’m usually up early (jetlag, honestly), and there’s this moment around 6 AM when the resort feels like it belongs to just a handful of people. The main pool area – which gets pretty lively later – has this almost meditative quality with just the sound of water lapping and maybe a few dedicated swimmers doing their laps. The staff setting up the poolside cabanas move with this unhurried efficiency that you don’t see at busier properties. And the coffee at the breakfast buffet? Actually decent, which I mean… that’s rarer than it should be at all-inclusives.

Here’s what I appreciate about Soma Bay as a location – it’s this planned resort community that feels more integrated than just another hotel dropped on a beach. You can actually walk around without feeling like you’re trapped in a compound, and the marina area has some decent spots if you need a change of scenery. The snorkeling right off the beach is legitimately good too, especially near the jetty area where the reef drops off. I saw more marine life in three days here than I did during a week in Sharm last year. The water stays pretty calm most of the time since you’re somewhat protected by the bay, which is perfect if you’re traveling with kids or just want to float around without getting knocked over by waves. One small thing though – the wind can pick up in the afternoons, especially during winter months, so if you’re planning to spend all day by the pool, mornings are definitely your friend. Check-in was smooth, parking is straightforward if you’re driving from Cairo, and honestly, for a five-star property with an 8.6 rating, it delivers on the experience without feeling pretentious about it.

  The sandy beach is amazing it is the best sandy beach in hurghada. animation team are perfect and the shows every night must not miss. Pools are really good. Reception team are perfect they also gave me late check out and early check in for free. Staff are all freindly. A la carte restaurants are more than perfect.
  
  What could be improved: Food quality sometimes is not good , deserts are almost the same everyday, juices and coffee in the hotel are very low quality beverage compared to its price as the hotel price is not cheap at all , cheaper hotels provide better quality beverage.

  Amazing Stay – Comfortable Stay & Beautiful Beach!
  I had a wonderful time at this hotel! The food was delicious – fresh, tasty, and something for everyone. The accommodation was very clean and comfortablel. The beach was stunning – clean sand, clear water, and perfect for relaxing or swimming. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely come back again!

  I really liked the beach and the helpfulness of the hotel staff. The reception team was amazing—especially Mr. Hesham, who was incredibly welcoming and professional. The beach staff were also very helpful, and the aqua staff were friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable.

  What could be improved: I didn’t like the food at the main restaurant or the beach restaurant. The buffet was disappointing at every meal—there was very little variety, and the same dishes were repeated constantly. There were also no suitable food options for children. The restaurants really need a major improvement to meet expectations.

  It was a very pleasant stay that we enjoyed so much. The staff was very friendly, the animation team was exceptional, and it was definitely one of the best teams we have ever seen, spreading cheerful vibes throughout the day with well planned activities suitable for all age groups. Also, the greenery is well taken care of, giving the place a calm, soothing vibe with clean, fresh air. The beach is very sandy and the aqua facilities are super fun for kids. Finally, the guest relation is super helpful and welcoming. Special thanks to Salma, a very hard working staff member she takes good care of everything and takes all feedback in a constructive manner and also takes immediate actions on all our mentioned comments aiming for constant improvement of the place.
  
  What could be improved: The single aspect we didn't like was the food, the food quality, and servicing was below average. It definitely needs to be enhanced. We left a comment there, and hopefully, they're currently working on it
