You know what hit me first when I pulled up to Seven Seas Jolie Bay? The smell of salt air mixed with jasmine – sounds cheesy, but it’s actually this immediate “okay, I’m really here” moment. The place sits right on Soma Bay about 8 kilometers down the Safaga Road from Hurghada, and honestly, that distance from the main tourist chaos is perfect. Close enough that you’re not stranded, far enough that you’re not dealing with the constant hustle of downtown Hurghada.

The ultra all-inclusive setup here is – I mean, I’m usually skeptical of these claims – but they actually mean it. I’m talking about decent coffee (not the watery stuff you sometimes get), fresh juice that tastes like actual fruit, and yeah, even the evening cocktails don’t taste like they’re rationing the alcohol. The property itself sprawls along this gorgeous stretch of Red Sea coastline, and here’s something most people don’t mention: the beach drops off pretty quickly into deeper water, which means incredible snorkeling literally steps from your lounger. I saw parrotfish and angelfish without even trying – just walked in with a mask.

What really sets this place apart though is how they handle the details. Check-in was smooth (they had my room ready at 1 PM even though I arrived early), the AC actually works properly – trust me, in Egyptian heat that matters – and the housekeeping staff somehow manages to keep everything spotless without being intrusive. The restaurants rotate their menus enough that you won’t get bored if you’re staying a week or more, and the main buffet has this wood-fired pizza station that’s honestly better than it has any right to be. Evenings here have this relaxed vibe where you can actually hear the waves over the background music, which feels like such a small thing until you’ve stayed at places where they blast everything at club volume. The pool area gets busy mid-morning but mellows out after lunch – perfect timing for anyone who wants to swim some laps or just float around without dodging kids doing cannonballs. And here’s a practical note: they have plenty of parking if you rent a car to explore the area, plus the wifi actually reaches the beach areas, which solved my “staying connected while pretending to disconnect” problem perfectly.

  Amazing Stay
  Our stay at this hotel was absolutely amazing! The sea was crystal clear and simply breathtaking. The entertainment and animation team made every day fun and memorable – they were truly fantastic!
  
  The food was delicious, with a great variety, and the à la carte restaurant was a special highlight. We booked a family room, and it was spacious, cozy, and perfect for our needs.
  
  Our kids had a wonderful time and really enjoyed everything the hotel had to offer. A special thanks to Malak for the warm hospitality and to Mongy and the entire staff – everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful.

  The food was amazing. They had an excellent variety and switched it up every day especially for dinner. The facilities are nice and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
  
  What could be improved: When we booked it we didn't realize that it was a 45 minute drive from Hurghada (this was totally our mistake of course). We actually prefer being close to the city but in hindsight, it was better this way for us after spending 2 busy weeks in Egypt. This location allowed us to rest and relax. If we had been right in Hurghada we would have been out and about every day (which is fine too). But both my husband and I enjoyed the time away without having to husstle every day with taxi drivers and vendors.
  The other thing was that we upgraded from the garden view to the pool/sea view room. Although it was nice to have the view, you could hear the blasting music from the pool during the day and from the entertainment area at night (which is on top of the main restaurant) So in hindsight, we personally would have been better with the garden view because we value quiet over a nice view. Still…we were able to enjoy our stay very much.

  I would like to thank all the hotel staff for the wonderful stay. This hotel is excellent in every aspect – cleanliness, tranquility, outstanding service, and a variety of activities. Despite my frequent travels and stays in many places, this hotel truly stands out among them all.
