You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Sheraton Blaza307 – honestly, the name itself is a bit quirky with that “307” tagged on, but sometimes the places with weird names turn out to be hidden gems. And this one actually surprised me in the best way.

The location is pretty smart if you know Hurghada at all. It’s tucked behind Gomla Market on Sheraton Street, which I mean, sounds like it might be noisy but it’s actually not bad. You’re close enough to grab anything you need from the market (and trust me, Gomla has everything), but far enough back that you don’t get the street noise that hits some of the hotels right on the main drag. I stayed there during peak season in March and honestly, I slept fine most nights. The area gets this nice evening breeze that comes off the Red Sea, which you’ll appreciate when the afternoon heat starts building up.

What really works about this place is that it feels authentic – not like those massive resort complexes where you could be anywhere in the world. The staff actually remember your name after a day or two, which is refreshing. The rooms are clean and functional, nothing fancy but everything works properly. The air conditioning is solid (crucial in Hurghada, obviously), and I was pleasantly surprised by the water pressure in the shower. Look, it’s a 3-star place so don’t expect marble bathrooms, but for the price point, it’s honestly quite decent. The beds are comfortable enough, though the pillows could use an upgrade – but that’s me being picky. One thing I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night despite being in the heart of the city. You’ll hear the call to prayer in the morning, but if you’re staying in Egypt, that’s part of the experience anyway.

The 8.2 rating makes sense when you factor in the value proposition. You’re getting a solid, no-nonsense place to stay without paying resort prices, and the location gives you easy access to both the tourist stuff and the real Hurghada. Walking to the corniche takes maybe 15 minutes, and there are plenty of local restaurants within a few blocks where you can get actual Egyptian food instead of the tourist versions. The staff can point you toward some good spots – just ask at the front desk. Check-in was surprisingly smooth when I arrived, even though my Arabic is pretty limited. They speak enough English to handle the basics, and they’re patient if you need to figure things out. Honestly, if you’re looking for a place that won’t blow your budget but still gives you a comfortable base for exploring Hurghada, this works really well. It’s not going to wow you with luxury, but it’ll take care of what you actually need while you’re out discovering the Red Sea.

  It was spotless clean for any standards.
  Mr Beshoy is really friendly and helped me with everything. The air-conditioning was perfect.
  
  What could be improved: The pool was closed for a few days and sometimes there were no water for hours, but that is a problem of Hurghada itself. Maybe a small stove would he helpful.

  Reservé por la aplicación de Booking, decía 3 camas separadas, y lo que me propuso Booking fue este hotel, con dos camas grande y un sofá cama.
  Bueno el sofá cama es un sofá y ya, no es sofá cama , éramos 3 amigos y uno de los dos tuvo que reservar otra habitación en otro hotel porque tampoco tenían cama supletoria para ponerla en el suelo, y evidentemente mi amigo no iba a dormir sentado
