You know what struck me first about Siva Grand Beach? It’s actually right there on The Corniche – and I mean *right there* – so you’re basically stepping out of the lobby onto Hurghada’s main waterfront strip. Which is honestly perfect because you’ve got that whole Red Sea vibe happening just outside your door, but you’re not stuck in some isolated resort bubble.

The thing about this place is that it gets the balance right. It’s a proper 4-star setup without being stuffy about it – the kind of place where you can wander down to breakfast in flip-flops and nobody bats an eye. The rooms are actually spacious (shocking, I know, for a beach hotel), and most have these decent balconies where you can sit with your morning coffee and watch the boats heading out for diving trips. The air conditioning works properly too, which… well, if you’ve been to Hurghada in summer, you’ll understand why that’s worth mentioning. I mean, it gets seriously hot out there.

What really makes this place work is the location situation. You’re literally a two-minute walk from all the diving centers and boat trips – no need for those annoying hotel shuttles or expensive taxis. The marina’s right there, so if you’re into the whole Red Sea underwater thing (and honestly, why else would you come to Hurghada?), you can basically roll out of bed and onto a dive boat. Plus there’s this little stretch of restaurants and cafes along The Corniche that the hotel staff actually know about – they’ll point you toward the good local spots instead of just the touristy ones. The hotel’s own restaurant is solid enough, but sometimes you want to venture out, you know?

The staff here seem to actually live in the area, which makes a difference when you need recommendations or help sorting out excursions. They know which dive operators are reliable, which restaurants won’t give you trouble, that sort of practical stuff. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too – no hard sell on upgrades or timeshare presentations, just “here’s your key, here’s where everything is, enjoy your stay.” The pool area gets decent sun most of the day, though it can get a bit crowded during peak season (basically October through April). But honestly, with the Red Sea right there, you’re probably not spending much time poolside anyway.

Look, it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury – this isn’t one of those all-inclusive mega-resorts with water slides and nightly entertainment. But if you want a comfortable base for exploring Hurghada’s underwater world, with easy access to the town’s best bits, and you don’t want to pay resort prices for the privilege, this place delivers. That 9.4 rating makes sense when you actually stay here – it’s just a well-run hotel that knows what its guests are actually looking for.
