Location & Neighborhood

El Gouna is one of those places that gets under your skin — it’s this perfectly planned resort town about 25 kilometers north of Hurghada, but it doesn’t feel artificial like some of these developments can. The location here is genuinely special, and I’m not just saying that because couples rate it 9.5 out of 10 (though they clearly know something). You’re walking distance from the marina, the beaches are right there, and you’ve got that whole lagoon system that makes El Gouna feel like nowhere else on the Red Sea. Plus, there’s free parking on site, which actually matters more than you’d think when you’re exploring the area.

The Space & Rooftop

The one-bedroom setup is smartly designed — you know how some places try to cram everything in and it feels claustrophobic? Not here. There’s actual breathing room, and the furnishings feel contemporary without trying too hard. But honestly, the rooftop is where this place really shines. I spent way more time up there than I planned, especially in the evenings when the whole lagoon area lights up below you. It’s one of those spots where you find yourself taking photos but also just sitting there appreciating the view — you get the Red Sea, the mountains in the distance, and all of El Gouna spread out like some kind of watercolor painting.

Pool & Beach Access

Having both pool and beach access feels a bit like having your cake and eating it too. The pool area is perfect for those mid-afternoon moments when the beach gets a little too intense, and it’s genuinely free — no hidden fees or complicated day-pass situations. The beach access is the real winner though, because El Gouna’s beaches are something else entirely. The water here has that incredible turquoise thing going on, and the coral reefs are close enough that you can snorkel right from the shore if that’s your thing.

What really sets this place apart is how it manages to feel both relaxed and well-organized at the same time.   Furniture is cool and modern. Location was great nearby supermarket and salon and Fanadir marina.
  
  What could be improved: – Cleanliness was not at best. The couch in the living room had some hair and small insects and the towels were not in good cotton quality..
  – there is no elevator so it was difficult to transfer the bags to the second floor; a help would be appreciated if provided.

  What could be improved: We are not satisfied with our stay at Mangroovy M10-2A-23. We did like the appartement and Mangroovy overall. The location is great, the bed was comfortable and the outside pool amazing. Therefore we really hope that you use our feedback to improve the experiences of others. Also, we want to be compensated for the doorlock mistake. This really had a big impact on our final day of our holiday.

  Check-in
  It already started during our arrival. The adress details were wrong in the information you gave us (you said 12A instead of 2A). Our taxi driver and us have been looking for 12A for 30 minutes, with all suitcases and after a long travel. When we finally found the appartement, the description of how to use the lock were very vague. Also, the lock didn’t work properly already. It took us a long while before we figured it out. Not a nice way to start your holiday after a long trip.
  
  Locked out
  On our last day, we have been locked out for over 2 hours – because of empty battery of the doorlock… We called your service over 15 times and send many messages, no response. In the end, our security guy was able to get a hold off you and he tried to explain the situation. You promised to send someone, and that it would take 5 minutes. No one came, and after our security guy called again, we heard that you didn’t send anyone at all… But that NOW you would send someone. Why not send someone with the first call? Or answer our calls to explain how we were going to solve this? Finally, someone arrived from your company. He didnt speak english and was very impolite. No ‘sorry’ what so ever.
  As you can imagine, this was very frustrating for us. We had no idea what happened and how long it would take. It really ruined our last night of our holiday.
  
  Wifi
  As we are working remotely, its very important to have proper working wifi. In the 2nd week, the wifi wasn’t stable. Especially the last 3 days it didn’t work at all.
