Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to the Soma Bay Seafront Luxury Appartement – the name’s a bit of a mouthful, right? But you know what, sometimes the places with awkward names turn out to be hidden gems, and this one absolutely delivered. It’s tucked right into Marina 3018, which is actually the sweet spot of Soma Bay if you ask me. You’re close enough to hear the gentle lapping of the Red Sea against the marina walls, but far enough from the main resort strip that you won’t be dealing with crowds of day-trippers tramping past your window at 7 AM.

The apartment itself feels like someone actually thought about how people live, not just how tourists pose for Instagram photos. The kitchen’s properly equipped – I mean, you can actually cook a real meal here, which is rare for vacation rentals in this part of Hurghada. The seafront views are genuinely spectacular, especially if you manage to snag one of the upper floors. I spent way too many mornings just standing on the balcony with my coffee, watching the fishing boats head out before dawn and the kite surfers show up later when the wind picked up. The Red Sea here has this incredible turquoise color that somehow looks different depending on the time of day – sounds cheesy, but it’s true.

What really sets this place apart is the attention to details that actually matter when you’re staying somewhere for more than a night or two. The air conditioning works properly (trust me, in Egyptian summer heat, this isn’t a given), the Wi-Fi is solid throughout the apartment, and there’s decent water pressure in the shower. The building’s got this modern feel without being sterile – lots of clean lines and glass, but warm touches that make it feel homey. Parking’s included, which saves you the headache of figuring out where to leave your rental car, and the whole complex is quiet enough that you can actually sleep with the windows open if you want to hear the sea.

The location puts you about a 15-minute walk from the main Soma Bay hotel strip, where you’ll find more dining options and the bigger beaches, but honestly? The little stretch of waterfront right here is perfect for swimming and snorkeling. The coral’s healthier than what you’ll find at the busier spots, and I saw more fish in a morning here than during a full-day boat trip I took from Hurghada proper. The marina’s got a few low-key restaurants and a small market for basics, so you don’t have to venture far if you’re feeling lazy.

With a 9.6 rating, this place is clearly doing something right, and after staying here, I get it. It’s not trying to be everything to everyone – it’s just a really well-executed apartment rental in a gorgeous spot. Perfect if you want the independence of self-catering but with hotel-level comfort and that unbeatable seafront location. Just book early, especially for winter months when the weather’s perfect and everyone’s trying to escape to the Red Sea.

  The view from the roof top terrasse is incredible. The apartment I very spacious, and it holds everything you need, since it is a privately owned place. You can cook if you want. Romeo, the guy looking after the apartment was outstanding.

  The apartment is very spacious , well furnished and well equipped. The location is perfect and the view is amazing especially from the living area and the master bedroom.
