You know what caught me off guard about this place? It’s actually tucked away in Mangroovy Residence in a way that makes you feel like you’ve stumbled onto something the tour groups haven’t figured out yet. I mean, El Gouna gets pretty touristy, but this little corner feels different – more like where people actually live rather than just pass through with their rolling suitcases.

The apartment itself is honestly better than I expected from the photos. Sure, it’s a 3-star place, so don’t go in expecting marble everything, but there’s something refreshing about a space that feels lived-in rather than sterile. The bedroom’s got decent light (faces away from the main road, thank god), and the kitchen actually has proper utensils – not those flimsy things you usually get in vacation rentals. What really sold me though was stepping out and realizing you’ve got genuine pool access, not just “oh you can look at the pool from your window” access. The pool area gets busy around 11 AM when families show up, but if you’re an early bird like me, you’ll have it mostly to yourself with your coffee.

Beach access is where this place really shines, honestly. You’re not dealing with the crowded strips closer to downtown El Gouna – this stretch feels more authentic, less manicured. The water here has that slightly different quality you get when you’re away from the main hotel zones, cleaner somehow. I spent most mornings walking along the shore before the wind picks up (usually around noon), and you’ll see local fishermen heading out, which gives you a better sense of the real Red Sea coast. The walk to the main El Gouna attractions takes about 15 minutes if you don’t mind the heat, or there’s usually a tuk-tuk hanging around the residence entrance. Parking’s no issue if you rent a car – actually, I’d recommend it since you can easily drive to some of the better diving spots up the coast that way. One small thing – the WiFi can be spotty in the evening when everyone’s streaming, but honestly, that might be a blessing depending on what you’re looking for in a vacation.
