Honestly, when I first pulled up to this studio at Turtles Beach Resort, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place – but you know what? Sometimes the simple spots surprise you the most. The location is actually pretty sweet if you’re looking to get away from the chaos of central Hurghada without being completely isolated. You’re right on the Red Sea, and I mean *right* on it – I could hear the waves from my room, which was way better than the traffic noise you get at those downtown hotels.

The studio itself is nothing fancy, but it’s got that laid-back beach vibe that works perfectly here. What really struck me was how clean everything was – I mean, the bathroom tiles actually sparkled, and the kitchenette (yeah, there’s a little cooking area) had proper dishes, not those flimsy plastic things you usually find. The bed was surprisingly comfortable too, though the air conditioning unit makes this weird clicking sound around 3 AM that took me a couple nights to get used to. The balcony is where you’ll probably spend most of your time anyway – it faces the water, and during sunset, well, let’s just say I took way too many photos trying to capture it.

Here’s the thing about this area though – Turtles Beach isn’t like the resort strips where everything’s sanitized and touristy. You’re actually staying where some locals hang out, especially on weekends when families come down for picnics. There’s this little café about a five-minute walk away (ask for directions to the “ahwa” – the guys at reception know exactly what you mean) where they make proper Egyptian coffee and the owner, Hassan, will tell you all about the best snorkeling spots that aren’t crawling with tour groups. Speaking of snorkeling, the reef here is honestly incredible – you can wade right in from the beach and see more fish than some of those expensive boat trips show you. Just watch out for the sea urchins near the rocky parts.

The resort itself keeps things pretty low-key, which I actually appreciated. No pushy animation team or loud poolside music – just the sound of water and maybe some quiet conversation. Check-in was smooth, though they do prefer cash for the security deposit, so come prepared. Parking is free and there’s always space, unlike some places in town where you’re circling for twenty minutes. The staff genuinely seems to care about making sure you’re comfortable – they remembered my name after day one and always asked how the snorkeling was going.

Look, if you’re expecting marble lobbies and five-course dinners, this isn’t your place. But if you want to wake up to actual Red Sea views, have a kitchenette for those late-night snacks, and stay somewhere that feels more like a local secret than a tourist factory, this studio hits the spot. Plus, you’re saving enough money to actually do some of the amazing diving and desert trips that make Hurghada special in the first place. Just bring a good book for the balcony – trust me, you’ll want to spend some serious time out there.
