It’s tucked away in Al Ahyaa where you actually get a break from the tourist chaos – I mean, don’t get me wrong, you’re still close enough to everything, but there’s something refreshingly normal about the neighborhood. The apartment itself is honestly better than I expected from the photos, which is rare these days.

The bedroom’s got this nice setup where you can actually spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase the whole time, and the kitchen – well, it’s properly equipped if you’re the type who gets tired of hotel breakfast after three days. I spent a few mornings making coffee and just watching the street come alive below, which sounds boring but was actually pretty nice. The AC works properly too, which in Hurghada heat is basically non-negotiable. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night – you’re far enough from the main hotel strips that you don’t have drunk tourists stumbling around at 3 AM, but close enough that a quick taxi ride gets you to the marina or the touristy restaurants when you want that scene.

The owner clearly knows what travelers actually need versus what looks good in listings. There’s proper hot water pressure (seriously underrated until you don’t have it), decent WiFi that doesn’t cut out every ten minutes, and enough outlets that you’re not playing musical chairs with your phone charger and camera battery. I’d say the area’s perfect if you want to feel like you’re staying somewhere real rather than in the middle of resort-land – there’s a local market about a five-minute walk away where you can grab actual groceries at Egyptian prices instead of tourist markup. The building’s well-maintained too, which honestly isn’t always a given. Only minor thing I’d mention is that if you’re someone who needs to be walking distance from nightlife, you’ll want to factor in taxi costs, but the trade-off for peace and quiet was worth it for me.
