Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of places around Hurghada, and this little studio at Al Dau Heights honestly surprised me. You know that moment when you walk into a place and think “okay, this is actually nicer than the photos”? That’s what happened here. The pool view isn’t just some tiny glimpse through palm trees – you’re literally looking out at this decent-sized pool area that’s surprisingly well-maintained for a 3-star spot.

The location in Mohamady Hiwaidak square is actually pretty smart if you know the area. I mean, it’s not right on the main tourist strip (which honestly can be a blessing – less noise from the constant stream of taxis and tour buses), but you’re still close enough to walk to the decent restaurants and that little market where locals actually shop. The building itself has this clean, modern vibe that feels more upscale than you’d expect. What I really appreciated was the attention to detail in the studio – the kitchenette actually has everything you need, not just the bare minimum, and the bathroom has proper water pressure, which… well, anyone who’s traveled in Egypt knows that’s not always a given.

Here’s the thing though – the pool area gets busy around 2-3 PM when families come down, but if you’re an early bird like me, those morning hours by the pool are absolutely perfect. There’s something about having coffee on that little balcony, watching Hurghada wake up, that just works. The staff genuinely seems to care about the place too, which shows in those small touches like actually changing the pool towels regularly and keeping the common areas spotless. For what you pay, especially considering that 8.6 rating isn’t just inflated reviews, this place delivers. It’s not luxury, but it’s thoughtfully done – and honestly, after a day exploring the Red Sea or wandering through the old town, you just want somewhere clean, comfortable, and real. This studio gets that balance right.

  Je suis arrivé tard et c'est Mohamed qui est venu pour mon check in et il m'a très bien accueilli ça été très vite, tout c'est très bien passé.

  Alaa und Gamal waren wirklich sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Die Unterkunft lag für Ausflüge gut gelegen und der Balkon war ebenfalls schön.
  
  What could be improved: Leider war die Einrichtung der Unterkunft extrem in die Jahre gekommen, nicht gut ausgestattet (fast kein Geschirr, keine Handseife, muffige Handtücher, etc.) und nicht sauber gewesen (dreckige Lappen und Geschirr, Haare überall, Eingangstür ging nur mit Gewalt richtig auf). Auch wenn eine erneute Reinigung am zweiten Tag nachgeholt wurde, änderte das leider nichts daran, dass vieles nicht sauber war. Zu unserem Pech wurde dazu auch direkt nebenan gebaut, sodass es ab 7 Uhr extrem laut war und man sich nicht wirklich erholen konnte. Das Fliegengitter des Balkons hatte Löcher, weshalb wir jeden Abend Probleme mit Moskitos hatten. Der Kühlschrank war so laut, dass wir diesen nachts ausstellen mussten. Die Klospülung war nur mit viel Feinspitzengefühl zu nutzen. Alles in allem waren wir sehr enttäuschend und können die vielen guten Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen.
