Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Sunny Days El Palacio on Corniche Road, I wasn’t expecting much. The name sounds a bit cheesy, and you know how some of these Red Sea resorts can be hit or miss. But actually, this place surprised me in the best way possible.

The location is what really got me hooked. You’re right on the Corniche, which means you can walk out and grab fresh seafood from those little local spots that the hotel concierge will never tell you about (there’s this amazing grilled fish place about ten minutes north if you’re feeling adventurous). The beach access is direct – no shuttles or awkward walks through other properties. And honestly, the sand here is some of the softer stuff you’ll find in Hurghada, probably because it’s a bit sheltered from the main tourist drag. The water gets deep pretty quickly though, so if you’ve got little ones, keep an eye on them.

What I really appreciated was how the staff seemed to actually care – not in that over-the-top fake way, but genuinely helpful. Check-in was smooth, they remembered my name after day two, and when I mentioned I was interested in diving, the front desk guy (Ahmed, I think?) connected me with a local operator who was way better than the overpriced hotel excursions. The spa is decent too – I mean, it’s not going to change your life, but after a day of snorkeling, those traditional massages hit different. The pools can get busy around 11 AM when the families arrive, but early morning and late afternoon are perfect for actually swimming laps instead of dodging beach balls.

Here’s the thing about the rooms – they’re comfortable, clean, nothing fancy but everything works. The AC is strong (crucial in Hurghada summers), and if you can swing it, get a sea view. The balcony situation is solid, and there’s something about having your morning coffee while watching the fishing boats head out that just sets the right tone. The breakfast buffet is… well, it’s a hotel buffet, but they do fresh eggs to order and the local honey is actually pretty good. Parking is free and easy, which matters if you’re planning to explore beyond the resort bubble.

The 8.4 rating makes sense to me – this isn’t a luxury palace, but it’s a solid four-star that delivers on what it promises without any major disappointments. It’s the kind of place where you can relax without feeling like you’re stuck in a tourist trap, and honestly, being on the Corniche means you’re connected to the real Hurghada when you want to be. If you’re looking for that sweet spot between comfort and authenticity, and you don’t need every single amenity to be Instagram-perfect, this place works really well.

  -Didn’t like thay the bar closes at 12 am then need extra fees if you want any drinks hard or soft only water are available after 12 a.m till the morning but overall it’s wonderful place to stay in .

  It was a superb vacation at this amazing resort hotel. There were two kinds of beaches, one was a well-constructed lagoon with somewhat deep water ranging from 5 – 8 meters, with a double safety net at its connection with the open sea to protect guests from large fish threats, and the other beach was somewhat shallow, crystal clear open sea, ranging from 1 – 1.7 meters. The food quality was superb and varied, especially at lunch and dinner. The staff was invaluable and professional, especially "Mr.Waleed Ramadan", he was such a decent and courteous person, and for sure a valuable asset for the hotel, as he was able to solve any logistical inconvenience for the guest and also keen on making the stay much better with his hands-on experience. For sure, I'm intending to plan another vacation at this wonderful destination shortly and catch up with the summer season before it ends. Finally, I'm truly recommending this resort for couples or families planning a wonderful seaside vacation. I'm proud as an Egyptian to find such a marvellous place and vacation destination in Hurghada.

  I had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Room 2152! I absolutely loved the beach — it was clean, beautiful, and perfect for relaxing. The food was another highlight, with a great variety of dishes that kept every meal exciting. I also want to give a special thank you to Abdullah from housekeeping. He was polite, friendly, and always made sure my room was spotless and comfortable. His kindness really made a difference during my stay.Also the Animation Team is amazing 🤩
  
  What could be improved: there were a few things that made the stay less comfortable. There was construction happening throughout the hotel, which was quite noisy and made some areas feel chaotic. Also, the room furniture is very old. Even the terrace windows didn’t close properly due to the wind, and I had to place a table against them to keep them shut.
  I did notice that renovation work is in progress, so I believe these issues will be resolved in the coming months. Once the improvements are complete, this place has the potential to be truly excellent.

  the best was that everything are close to each other like the restaurants beside the main building beside the main pool and the lagoon also the sea was to close to the hotel
  
  What could be improved: I had a problem with booking's email because my reservation was 3 double rooms with 6 adults and 3 kids , the mail sent to the hotel was 3 double rooms with 3 adults only so the reception employees was tuff and have no flexibility and they refused to give us the rooms untill they have a right mail from booking even i show the my reservation and payment but still need an email so i called booking's Costumer service and after waiting more than 24 min on waitting on the call and having 41min talking i had a confirmation from the call centre that they will fix this issue and will call and mail the hotel , from 1:35 pm to 4:24 pm me and my kids and my elderly father sitting on the reception waiting like homeless with no excuse from anyone and the hotel telling us it's not our problem then suddenly they told us we're ok and will give you your reserved rooms even booking didn't send us any mails but it's ok .. was so weird but i was driving for 5 h and 550km so i didn't ask anything just gone to my room with my family to sleep .
