You know what caught me off guard about Sunny Days Mirette? It’s one of those places that doesn’t try to be something it’s not – and honestly, that’s refreshing in Hurghada where so many resorts oversell and underdeliver. Right on Corniche Road (which, if you haven’t been, is basically the main strip that hugs the Red Sea), this 3-star spot has this laid-back family vibe that actually works.

I mean, don’t expect marble lobbies or infinity pools – this isn’t one of those flashy all-inclusives you see plastered all over Instagram. But here’s the thing: the families I met there seemed genuinely relaxed, kids were running around happy, and parents weren’t stressed about breaking something expensive every two minutes. The beach access is solid too, though you’ll want to grab your spot early during Egyptian holidays when half of Cairo seems to descend on Hurghada. The snorkeling right offshore is actually decent – not Sharm El Sheikh amazing, but you’ll see some colorful fish without having to book an expensive boat trip.

What really sells this place is the staff, honestly. They’ve got that Egyptian hospitality thing down pat, but without the pushy sales pitch you get at some of the bigger resorts. The front desk guys remember your name by day two, and the restaurant staff – well, they’ll start making your coffee exactly how you like it without you even asking. Speaking of food, it’s proper Egyptian comfort food mixed with some international options. Nothing fancy, but the koshari they make on Egyptian nights is better than what you’ll find at most tourist spots. Just a heads up though – if you’re staying during Ramadan, the evening energy completely transforms (in a good way), but meal times shift around quite a bit. The pool area can get pretty lively with kids during the day, so if you’re looking for that zen resort silence, maybe stick to the beach chairs. Parking’s never been an issue when I’ve been there, which is more than I can say for some places along the Corniche. With an 8.7 rating, it’s clearly doing something right – and after staying there, I get it. It’s just honest, good-value hospitality in a spot where you can actually hear the waves at night.
