You know what? I’ve stayed at a lot of places along the Red Sea coast, but Sunrise Crystal Bay Resort actually surprised me – and I mean that in the best way possible. It’s about 17 kilometers south of Hurghada proper on the Safaga road, which honestly works in its favor because you’re far enough from the tourist chaos but close enough that grabbing a taxi into town for some local seafood isn’t a big deal. The drive from the airport takes maybe 20 minutes, and your driver will probably point out the string of resorts along this stretch – this one stands out because of those distinctive white buildings that catch the morning light just right.

The thing about this place is it gets the details right in ways that matter. Check-in was smooth (they had cold towels and fresh juice waiting, which I appreciated after that flight), but what really got me was walking through to my room and realizing how quiet it actually is. You’re not hearing pool parties at 2 AM or kids screaming in the hallways – the layout spreads everything out so there’s this sense of space that’s hard to find at most Red Sea resorts. The pools are gorgeous, don’t get me wrong, but they’ve got this adult-focused vibe during the day that shifts to more family-friendly in the afternoons. I spent most mornings with coffee on my balcony watching the staff rake the beach – they’re out there early, and by the time you want to claim a sun lounger, everything’s pristine.

The beach itself is why you’re really here though. Crystal Bay isn’t just a marketing name – the water clarity is genuinely stunning, especially in the mornings before the wind picks up. I’m not usually the snorkeling type, but the house reef is right there and honestly pretty spectacular. The resort provides decent gear, though bring your own if you’re picky about masks. Food-wise, I was pleasantly surprised by the variety – yes, it’s buffet-style for most meals, but they rotate themes and there’s always fresh fish that’s clearly local. The Italian restaurant requires reservations (book early), and while the service can be a bit slow, the sunset views from their terrace make up for it. One small thing – the Wi-Fi in the rooms is decent, but if you need to work, the lobby areas have stronger signal. Parking’s no issue if you rent a car, and I’d actually recommend it for exploring some of the quieter beaches further south toward Safaga. The staff genuinely seems to care about the place, which shows in everything from how well-maintained the grounds are to how they remember your coffee order after a couple days.

  One of the best resorts in hurghada, perfect management with very fast response to any kind of requests, perfect front office team, great distribution of facilities, several a la carte restaurants with variety of food, the main restaurant provides an exceptional quality and variety of food with no repeated items, the pools are awesome, the sea is very well cleaned with high level of privacy for all guests, Crystal bay deserves really more than 10 out of 10, and this was my 2nd visit and would be repeated definitely. Special thanks to the front office manager and the hotel manager for their welcome and hospitality, they truly made our vacation.
  
  What could be improved: It`s not a drawback but a point to be highlighted for such a great place where some people are doing more than they can do to make you happy, some of the bar staff need training on how to deal with guests and their needs especially when you compare them with their good mates.

  We had a wonderful holiday and enjoyed every moment. The resort is beautifully maintained, modern, and spotlessly clean. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. A special thank you goes to Anwar, who went above and beyond to fulfill our every wish and took care of all our requests immediately.
  
  The beach was absolutely stunning – perfect for relaxing and unwinding. Our room was comfortable, stylishly furnished, and always clean. The restaurants offered excellent variety and high-quality food – something for every taste.
  
  We had an amazing time and would return in a heartbeat. We can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone!

  Sea is good and the rooms are amazing. They arrange us early check in and late check out. Mohamad Anwar also help us for everything. Mangal restaurant also very good and tasty. We can come again for holiday. Privilege facilities more better than standart rooms. For pick up airport good selection

  Amazing hospitality and service. the reception was very smooth and we got helped with a free-ground floor room upgrade. Club car was always available when we needed. The beach is so charming and clean. The food was delicious and so many options including deserts, I'd like to point out the Mangal restaurant for house grills. I had the best mixed grills in a very long time. Highly recommended!
  The staff was amazing. This was my 2nd visit and I'll definitely come back in the future.
  
  What could be improved: The only thing I noticed is that in my last visit 6 months ago they had variety of fresh juices, while this time they hadn't had that at all and it was only concentrated juices.
