Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Sunrise Holidays Resort on Sheraton Road, I wasn’t expecting much. I mean, Hurghada has dozens of these beachfront places, and sometimes they blur together, you know? But this one actually surprised me in the best way possible.

The adults-only thing isn’t just a marketing gimmick here – they really commit to it. You won’t find kids running around the pool at 7 AM (thank god), and the whole vibe is just… calmer. More sophisticated, I guess. The lobby has this gorgeous marble thing going on, but it doesn’t feel stuffy or overdone. Check-in was smooth – they had my room ready even though I arrived early, which honestly saved my trip since I was dead tired from the flight. The staff speaks decent English, which matters more than you’d think when you’re trying to figure out dinner reservations or need extra towels.

What really got me was the attention to detail. The pool area – and there are actually three of them – has these little shaded spots with day beds that don’t require you to sprint down at sunrise to claim one. The main pool gets busy around 11 AM, but there’s this smaller infinity pool that most people seem to miss, tucked away near the spa area. Perfect for when you want to actually swim instead of dodge pool volleyball games. The beach access is direct, no weird shuttle situation, and the Red Sea here is genuinely spectacular. I’m talking about water so clear you can see fish from the shore – not exaggerating. The resort provides decent snorkeling gear too, which saves you from those overpriced rental shops along the main strip.

Food-wise, they’ve got it figured out. The main restaurant does this dinner thing where they rotate themes – Italian one night, Middle Eastern the next – and it’s actually good, not just hotel buffet acceptable. I was particularly impressed with their seafood nights (well, you’re right on the Red Sea, so they better get that right). The à la carte restaurants require reservations, but it’s worth planning ahead. Pro tip: the rooftop bar gets incredible sunset views, but it fills up fast around 6 PM, so grab a spot early.

Here’s what I really appreciated – the rooms are properly soundproofed. Sheraton Road can get a bit noisy with traffic, especially during peak season when everyone’s heading to the marina, but once you’re inside, it’s quiet. My room had a partial sea view (honestly, even the “garden view” rooms are fine since the landscaping is lush), and the AC actually worked without sounding like a jet engine. Little things like that matter when you’re trying to recover from diving all day.

The location puts you close enough to Hurghada’s main action – the old town souks, the marina with all the dive shops – but far enough that you’re not dealing with constant crowds. It’s maybe a 10-minute taxi ride to downtown, and the hotel can arrange decent rates if you don’t want to haggle with street drivers. Honestly, for a 5-star place with a 9.2 rating, it lives up to the hype without feeling pretentious about it. That’s rarer than you’d think.

  The resort is amazing, the best place to swim in the red sea. The resort is very clean with fantastic views, The staff are very friendly and the entertainment team is special. I highly recommend it for those who wish to relax as well as those who wish to have plenty of activities and adventures

  All hotel staff members were really friendly and helpful, They made every moments in the hotel full of fun and comfort.
  Animation team worked hard to please the guests with daily activities and night shows.
  Special thanks to customer service and the hotel manager(Mr Sameh) as they were on top of any issue even if it wasn't fully hotel mistake.
  I really felt well adopted by every person there.
  
  What could be improved: I had a issue with the Aqua center salesman called "Karam" which lied to me about a trip which wasn't as promised so if you go there take care of that guy if he still at the place.
  The issue was solved by the hotel team in a very tight time.

  This was our fist time at Sunrise Holiday resort and both myself and partner had an amazing holiday. The staff are lively but also not overwhelming. We had great fun taking part in activities and also just watching life go by. The snorkelling at the hotel was amazing as well. Nothing was ever too much trouble and all staff give 100% making sure you enjoy your stay.
