You know what struck me first about Sunrise to Sunset Rooftop Panorama? The name actually makes sense – which is rarer than you’d think with hotels. I mean, you’re literally watching the sun come up over the Red Sea from your rooftop spot, then catching it set behind the lagoons of El Gouna later. It’s one of those simple pleasures that somehow feels profound when you’re actually experiencing it.

The place sits right in Shedwan, which honestly is my favorite part of El Gouna anyway – you’re close enough to the main Downtown area to grab dinner at Mokai or catch the shuttle to the marina, but far enough out that you’re not dealing with the crowds and late-night noise from the bars. The hotel itself is refreshingly straightforward for a 3-star property. No marble lobbies or over-the-top decor, just clean lines and that rooftop that everyone talks about. Check-in was smooth (they actually had my reservation ready, which – let’s be honest – doesn’t always happen in Egypt), and the staff genuinely seemed to know the area well. When I asked about snorkeling spots, the guy at reception didn’t just point me toward the usual tourist traps but actually sketched out a little map to some coral patches near Abu Tig that most visitors miss.

What really sets this place apart is how it feels once you settle in. The rooms are comfortable enough – nothing fancy, but the AC works properly and the beds are actually decent. But it’s that rooftop where you’ll spend most of your time anyway. There’s something about the way El Gouna spreads out below you, all those turquoise lagoons connected by little bridges, that makes you want to just sit there with a coffee and watch the kiteboarders doing their thing. Early morning is particularly magical – the wind’s usually calm, so the water’s like glass, and you can see the Eastern Desert mountains getting touched by the first light. I found myself setting an alarm just to catch that moment, which is saying something because I’m not typically an early riser on vacation. The 9.6 rating makes total sense once you experience a few days here – it’s not trying to be the Ritz, but it nails what it’s going for. The location puts you right in the sweet spot between El Gouna’s action and its quieter residential feel, parking’s never an issue (unlike some spots closer to Downtown), and honestly, for the price point, you’re getting that killer view that hotels charging twice as much would kill for.

  Communication from the outset was excellent. The apartment was very well set out and provisioned making the whole stay most enjoyable. An extension to our stay was very easily facilitated which made our life stress free. Great views.
  
  What could be improved: The only issue was finding the apartment, even the taxi driver (organised by the host – thank you) struggled. Maybe using the block number and apartment number as the address may resolve this.

  I thought the size of the apartment was really lovely. I liked the full-size kitchen to be able to enjoy and cook as needed. I liked the fact that they provided plenty of towels and things you need while you’re there. I like that there’s a washing machine the location is amazing. The view is beautiful, stunning, and very peaceful, and the guardian who takes care of that portion of that residence is absolutely as nice as he could possibly be and Very helpful. And the proximity to very nice restaurants is wonderful and the small little grocery store located very near the apartment is very handy and well sorted with beautiful little items kind of like a little American grocery store for sure.
  
  What could be improved: I would say the only disadvantage if there is one is that it’s windy but I think it’s windy in that whole area so that has nothing to do with this apartment. Just I think the location is what it is.

  Each bedroom has its own bathroom, plus a lovely living room area with a balcony, aside from the huge rooftop deck with an amazing view.
  The property is a perfect place for holidays, it’s clean, well maintained,would definitely recommend it.
  
  What could be improved: Nothing that I don’t like about the place, just the fact that there was no elevator for the luggage, other than that nothing was missing

  The place was very nice, extremely clean and very neatly organized. It is fully equipped, has a great view, and is quite comfortable. It makes you feel at home. We had a great time and will definitely come back again.

  Beautiful stay here! The terraces are lovely and the space inside isn’t missing anything. Super comfortable for 2+ people. The host is also very responsive and helpful. He ensured we were happy and was very accommodating. A good start to our first time in Egypt!

  The whole stay was uncomplicated and very easly to handle. The host Leo is super supportive with every question you have.
  He's a very reliable host and helps you a lot or can give you certain recommandations whatever you need.

  The apartment is extraoridinary, super clean and comfortable.
  Infront of the apartment there are some pools and a lagoon you can swim in, and the ocean is close too.
  The sunrises and sunsets are just incredible and make you speechless.
  So Sunrise to Sunset Panorama definitely deserves this name and I can just recommand this place!
  
  What could be improved: There's almost nothing to say.
  The only thing is that there were missing tabs or liquids for using the dishwasher but the host told us a supermarket were we can buy this.
  Maybe there could be some sun loungers to lay at the pool or on the terrace, but this is just an extra 🙂
