Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to SunShine Mangroovy-M10 right at the El Gouna entrance, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the best surprises come in unassuming packages, and this little gem absolutely proved that point.

The thing about staying right at El Gouna’s entrance is that you’re perfectly positioned without actually being stuck in the thick of the resort madness. I mean, you can walk into the main El Gouna area whenever you want – it’s literally right there – but you’re not dealing with the constant buzz of golf cart traffic and tourists wandering around at all hours. The staff at check-in were genuinely welcoming (not that rehearsed hotel smile thing), and honestly, the whole vibe felt more like staying at a well-run guesthouse than a typical hotel. What really struck me was how clean everything was – I’m talking about those little details that matter, like spotless bathroom grout and fresh-smelling linens that actually smell like they were dried in desert air, not industrial fabric softener.

The rooms are simple but thoughtful, and here’s something I really appreciated – the air conditioning actually works properly, which isn’t always a given in this price range along the Red Sea coast. You can hear the call to prayer from nearby mosques in the early morning, which some people might find disruptive, but I actually found it quite peaceful and authentic. The breakfast spread isn’t fancy, but they do proper Egyptian staples alongside some international options, and the coffee is surprisingly decent. What really sets this place apart though is the genuine hospitality – the kind where staff remember your name and actually seem to care about whether you’re enjoying Hurghada. They’re great with local recommendations too, not just the touristy stuff but actual insights like which dive shops give you the best value and when to hit the markets for fresh seafood.

The location is honestly perfect if you want to experience both the planned resort feel of El Gouna and the more authentic Egyptian atmosphere of greater Hurghada. You’re close enough to walk to El Gouna’s marina and restaurants when you want that polished resort experience, but you can also easily grab a taxi or drive (parking is never an issue here) to explore the traditional souks and local restaurants that many tourists never discover. That 9.5 rating isn’t some fluke – it’s earned through consistent attention to the basics and genuine care for guests. Sure, you won’t find a sprawling pool complex or multiple restaurants, but what you will find is a comfortable, clean, well-located base that lets you experience the real Hurghada without breaking the bank or sacrificing comfort.

  The Perfect Stay in Gouna!
  
  This apartment was, without a doubt, the highlight of our entire trip to Gouna! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how modern, clean, and spacious the place was. The beautiful design and stylish furniture made us feel like we were in a luxury resort, but with the comfort and privacy of a home.
  
  The location couldn’t have been better—close to everything, yet peaceful and serene. We felt completely at ease the whole time.
  
  To top it all off, John (our host) is the most genuine, kind, and caring host you could ever ask for. He made us feel so welcomed from the very first moment. John stayed in touch with us constantly, from the day we arrived until the moment we left, to ensure everything was perfect. We really appreciated how he checked in with us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. If there was ever an issue (though there wasn't), I’m confident he would’ve fixed it immediately.
  
  The apartment was stocked with everything you could possibly need—juices, water, coffee, tea, and even clean towels, toiletries and fruit bowls. It was the little touches like these that made our stay so comfortable and stress-free.
  
  We highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Gouna, and it will definitely be our top choice the next time we visit.
