The rooms are simple but thoughtfully put together – nothing fancy, but the AC works like a dream (crucial during those brutal summer months), and the beds are surprisingly comfortable. I’ve stayed at pricier places along the Red Sea coast where I’ve slept worse, honestly. What really won me over was the attention to small details that matter when you’re dealing with the heat and salt air – good water pressure in the shower, decent blackout curtains for afternoon naps, and outlets that actually work properly for charging your gear after long diving days.

The location is actually pretty perfect if you understand El Gouna’s layout. You’re far enough from the main tourist clusters to get some peace, but close enough to walk to the good restaurants and bars when you want to. The beach access isn’t directly from the hotel, but it’s maybe a five-minute stroll, and honestly, that means fewer crowds and more space to actually relax. I spent most mornings there with my coffee before the day-trippers arrived from Hurghada. The staff genuinely seems to enjoy their work – not that forced hospitality you sometimes get, but actual helpful attitudes. They knew the good dive operators, could arrange transportation without the usual markup, and didn’t hassle me about every little thing. Check-in was smooth, no weird surprise fees, and they even helped me sort out a SIM card situation when mine wasn’t working properly. For a three-star place, the service felt more like what you’d expect from somewhere charging twice as much. If you’re looking for a solid base in El Gouna without the inflated prices of the flashier resorts, this is exactly the kind of place that makes you feel like you found a hidden gem.
