Hotel Description

You know what struck me first about Swiss Inn Resort Hurghada? It’s actually tucked away from the main tourist chaos on the Safaga Road stretch – honestly, when you’re driving south from Hurghada’s center, you almost miss the entrance because it doesn’t scream “look at me” like some of the bigger chain hotels. But that’s sort of the point, I think. The moment you walk into the lobby, there’s this immediate sense of… well, calm isn’t quite right, but it’s definitely more relaxed than what you’d expect from a 5-star place. The marble floors are cool under your feet (trust me, you’ll appreciate this detail when it’s 40°C outside), and the staff genuinely seem to remember your name after day two, which is rarer than you’d think in Egyptian resort hotels.

The real magic happens once you get to your room and see that view of Hurghada Bay – I mean, the photos online don’t do it justice. The water actually changes color throughout the day, from this deep turquoise in the morning to almost silver at sunset. What most people don’t realize is that the hotel’s positioned perfectly to catch the breeze coming off the Red Sea, so even in summer, you’re not completely melting by the pool. Speaking of which, the pool area gets busy around 10 AM when families start claiming their spots, but if you’re an early riser like me, you can have the whole infinity pool to yourself with just the sound of waves and maybe a few fishing boats puttering by in the distance. The hotel’s restaurant situation is honestly better than I expected – they do this seafood night on Thursdays where they bring in fresh catches from the local fishermen, and it’s not just tourist-friendly grilled fish, but actually spiced the way Egyptians do it. The service can be a bit slow during peak dinner hours (around 7-8 PM), but the waiters are chatty and will tell you stories about Hurghada before it became this resort destination.

Here’s what I’d tell anyone considering this place: it’s not trying to be the flashiest hotel on the Red Sea coast, and that’s exactly why it works. The rooms are spacious without being unnecessarily huge, the Wi-Fi actually works in all the common areas (though it gets spotty on higher floors), and you’re close enough to Hurghada’s marina and old town that you can easily grab a taxi for 20 Egyptian pounds if you want to explore beyond the resort bubble. The beach is decent – not the pristine white sand you see in Maldives photos, but the coral reef starts just 50 meters from shore, which means incredible snorkeling right there. I’ve stayed at pricier places along this coast that felt more like luxury prisons, but Swiss Inn has this balance where you feel pampered without being isolated from the actual Egypt happening just outside the gates.

  • Elena from Switzerland – 25 May 2025 (9/10)

Great selection of food, free cocktails are good, especially in comparison to the other hotel, where I was staying..! But of course there is not much alcohol in the cocktails, so don’t expect great cocktails like in a bar somewhere in Europe. But they were decent, can’t complain. The staff was super nice 🤩 beach and facilities are awesome! If I would go to Hurghada again, I would definitely choose this hotel again. One day there was no meat or fish which seemed to be gluten free (I have an allergy), and they cooked gluten free fish for me separately in the kitchen, I am so grateful for that 🙏

What could be improved: I don’t know, I liked everything, my friends were happy with everything too.

  • Hazem from Egypt – 4 May 2025 (8/10)

What could be improved: hotel dose not provide free parking place

  • Amr from United Kingdom – 11 April 2025 (8/10)

Our two-night stay at Swiss Inn in Hurghada was simply the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. I’ve stayed in hotels across the world especially London, New York, Asia, and all over Africa, and this one stands out by far for its service, quality, and overall atmosphere.

The staff were beyond exceptional—genuinely the best I’ve ever been served by. Huge thanks to the amazing reception team and a special thank you to Mr. Yasser for his outstanding service. I wish I could remember every name because everyone truly deserves recognition.

We had incredible experiences at the swim-up bar, especially thanks to the two great guys working there both in the morning and at night.

Amr at the reception bar was fantastic. The chef and staff at the restaurant near reception were amazing, as were the security team. Abanoub at the beach snack bar was also wonderful. And the staff serving drinks along the beach were attentive and friendly.

The food and drinks were top quality—something that’s often missing at all-inclusive resorts. There are multiple a la carte restaurants with no booking required. The seafood and BBQ spots were fantastic. We didn’t get a chance to try the Lebanese restaurant, but we heard great things about it too.

The animation team was another highlight—especially Mido, Mo, Agata and the rest of the team, I wish I can remember all their names. They brought such positive energy and made our stay even more memorable.

Everywhere was spotlessly clean, the breakfast was perfect, and overall the experience was exceptional. I’ve never experienced service like this anywhere else.

Just a quick note for future guests: if you book through Booking.com, the default package is soft all-inclusive, meaning no alcoholic drinks. To upgrade to full all-inclusive (with hard drinks), it costs around $20 per person, per night. Not a complaint—just something to be aware of when booking.

Definitely coming back to this hotel.

  • İslam from Turkey – 5 April 2025 (9/10)

It was clean , all the staff was polite

What could be improved: The food can be better , we tried 3 resturants during our stay
More spices can be added and desserts are so similar to each others

  • Mahmoud from Egypt – 19 February 2025 (8/10)

Staff are very kind, and everything was in a very smooth way ,Mr. Ahmed, the hotel manager, was very helpful and responsible.

What could be improved: Everything was very good

  • Jason from Canada – 7 February 2025 (9/10)

    Food choices, laundry service
    Facilities, activities and staff

What could be improved: Need to clean curtains (dust) for alergies

  • Ray from United Kingdom – 12 January 2025 (8/10)

From the moment we walked in, until the second we left, every single member of staff was excellent. So pleased to help, be of service and often going the extra mile for our comfort or satisfaction. It is close to the airport, has a lovely beach and great open spaces to relax and enjoy the brilliant sunshine. Plenty of daytime activities although a little limited in the evening. We were all inclusive and the food options were plentiful if a bit similar for the most part. Some nice options in the evening with Waves BBQ and Lagoona fish being good. We also enjoyed a fabulous Hamman at The Health Club despite it being renovated at the time.
There was a nice area to walk out into, with shops and restaurants but only small. The hotel taxi service was cheap, reliable, very attentive and informative.

What could be improved: Dietary considerations are tricky, as few gluten or dairy free varieties and not easy to identify ingredients. Some of the ‘hawkers’ were overbearing and too keen but most were respectful and not pushy.
Some Uber drivers locally tried to pressure us, demand cash and refused transport.

  • Mahmoud from United Kingdom – 1 January 2025 (9/10)

Excellent location and facilities. Food is of very good quality and decent variety. Overall enjoyable stay.
