Hotel Description

You know what struck me first about The Grand Hotel in Hurghada? It’s actually right on the Promenade – and I mean literally right there, not “close to” like so many places claim. You walk out the front door and boom, you’re on that main strip where all the action happens. The building itself has this sort of grand colonial vibe (hence the name, I guess), but it’s not trying too hard to be fancy – more like confident elegance that’s seen some sun and salt air.

The location is honestly perfect if you want to be in the thick of things without dealing with the chaos of some of the newer resort areas. You’re walking distance to the marina where all the Red Sea diving boats leave from – I mean, you can literally see them loading up in the morning from some of the upper floor rooms. The staff actually knows which dive operators are worth your time, which is pretty helpful since there are about a million boats trying to get your business along that stretch. Speaking of the rooms, they’re solid – not Instagram-perfect, but comfortable with good AC (crucial in Hurghada, trust me) and most have decent views of either the sea or the bustling street life below. The shower pressure is surprisingly good, which you’ll appreciate after a day of snorkeling or wandering around the old town.

What I really liked about this place is how it feels authentically Egyptian without being a tourist trap. The restaurant serves actual local dishes alongside the standard international stuff, and the guy who runs the front desk – Ahmed, I think – knows everything about getting around Hurghada efficiently. He steered me away from the touristy areas when I wanted to find where locals actually eat, which led to some of the best seafood I had during my stay. The hotel gets busy during European winter months (makes sense, escaping the cold), but even then it never felt overcrowded or chaotic. Evenings are pretty lively with the Promenade right outside, but the rooms facing the back courtyard are surprisingly quiet if you’re a light sleeper. Check-in was smooth, parking is available though sometimes tight, and honestly, for a 4-star place with an 8.2 rating, it delivers exactly what you’d expect – solid comfort, great location, and that lived-in feel that makes you want to come back. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but it’s got character and sits right in the sweet spot of Hurghada’s best neighborhood.

  I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Grand hotel, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The hotel itself is beautiful—clean, comfortable, and perfectly located. The amenities were top-notch, and every detail was thoughtfully taken care of.
  What truly made my stay exceptional, however, was the incredible service. I would like to give a special thanks to Mr. Mohamed Moawad, who went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome and well taken care of. His professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail truly stood out. Whether it was offering helpful local tips or ensuring everything in my room was perfect, Mohamed made a lasting impression.

  I had a fantastic stay at The Grand Hotel in Hurghada and I enjoyed everything about it. The food was varied and delicious, offering a great selection to suit all tastes. The daily cleaning service was very efficient, Tarek keep the hotel spotless throughout my stay. The hotel also has excellent access to the beach, making it easy to enjoy the sun and sea whenever I wanted. Additionally, there were plenty of activities available, so I never got bored. The staff was wonderful, especially Haliem at the reception, who was super friendly and attentive, ensuring all my needs were met until the very last minute. Overall, I think it was excellent value for the price paid, and I highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation!

  attention of the staff, the facilities of the swimming pool and the beachfront. breakfast buffet was awesome, and the room space was superb.
