You know, I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to The Grand Resort on Corniche Road – honestly, the name sounds like every other five-star place trying too hard. But walking into that lobby, with the Red Sea breeze actually making it through those massive glass doors and the marble floors that somehow stay cool even in Hurghada’s brutal afternoon heat, I got it. This place has that effortless luxury thing down, which is rare around here.

What really sold me was the location, though. You’re literally right on the Corniche, which means you can walk to the marina without dealing with taxi drivers (trust me, this matters in Hurghada), and you’re close enough to the old town that you can actually grab some proper Egyptian food when you get tired of hotel restaurants. The beach situation is honestly fantastic – they’ve got their own stretch that’s protected from the worst of the wind, and the coral reef is right there if you’re into snorkeling. I mean, you can literally swim out maybe fifty meters and you’re seeing fish that look like they escaped from an aquarium. The water’s this incredible turquoise that photographs don’t really capture, and it stays warm pretty much year-round.

The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid five-star – spacious, clean, those Egyptian cotton sheets that feel expensive – but what impressed me was the attention to details that actually matter. The air conditioning works properly (not a given in Egypt, honestly), the shower has serious water pressure, and the balcony doors seal well enough that you don’t wake up with sand in your coffee. Staff knows their stuff too, especially at the front desk where they seem to remember your name after day one. The pool area gets busy around 10 AM when the European crowd stakes out their spots, but if you’re an early riser, you can have that infinity pool basically to yourself while watching the sunrise over the Red Sea. That 8.7 rating makes sense when you add it all up – it’s not perfect, but it’s the kind of place where the small irritations (like the elevators being a bit slow, or the WiFi cutting out during peak hours) don’t really matter because everything else just works.

  What could be improved: The house keeping staff was hard to comunicate with them, and the beach towels had to be changed only by them so i suffered to reach them to change the towels.
  Hope you find a better system for changing towels instead of depending only on the house keeping staff

  I had a wonderful stay, and I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to all the staff who made the vacation truly enjoyable. From the reception team to the restaurant, bar staff, animation team and housekeeping – everyone was incredibly professional, helpful, and welcoming.
  
  Every request or concern we had was promptly addressed without delay. The restaurant offered a wide variety of dishes, and when we raised a concern about some food being served cold, the response was immediate and highly professional, especially from Chef Farouk in the dinner. His attention to guest satisfaction was truly commendable.
  
  The beach is far from the hotel but very cool (not a big problem).
  
  Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I will certainly be returning in the future.
  
  What could be improved: Furniture needs to be refined
